Oh Poor Hubby....

*** One of my favorite pictures from the wedding. I don't know why but I find this picture sexy.... Yeah, I'm kinda weird. ***

In the civilian world, today is merely the end of September, however for the Air Force, today is the end of their fiscal year.

With that, Brent's training squadron was out of flight time so the entire squadron was grounded. What does that mean.... they have the day off.

Brent called me around 5:30 and said he had a very difficult day.... playing golf. He played a hell of a 1st 9 holes, but was too drunk to play a decent game for the next nine. Oh you poor thing, he actually wanted me to feel bad for him. Now he's going home to pass out....

Yeah Right. I wish I was off today.

Wow, I'm short...

Ok. I know I'm short. I've never been considered tall or average height by any means. I've dealt with it as best I can. But sometimes I realize how short I truly am.
For example, when I would be cheerleading at basketball game and I would look at the other end of the court and see a really short girl. I would turn to one of my fellow cheerleaders and ask... "Wow... am I that short?" And they would reply... well yeah...

So needless to say, I am a bad judge of height. Everyone is tall to me and as long as your an average size guy, I would date you. 2 shorties in my opinion don't make a good team, when it comes to having kids in my opinion.

Anyway, I had another realization of my lack of height while looking through our wedding pictures for the like 5 millionth time....

Granted I'm standing next to my bridesmaid boyfriend Billy who is over 6 feet tall. But still.

Book Review - Eclipse

I just finished the 3rd book in the Twilight Saga, and I loved it. I do admit that I found the 2nd, New Moon, disappointing. So I didn't quite know what to expect for the Eclipse.

But, I'm happy to say that is was great. Its.... Vampires and Werewolves and Serial Killers... oh my.

The Edward-Bella-Jacob dynamic is interesting and complex. While, I did at times find her annoying and self-serving, by the end of the book I could deal with her better.

While Edward is a charming, dark knight that lives and loves "the old fashioned" way, Jacob is a breath of fresh air to Bella and to the reader. I find him funny and very entertaining. You get the opportunity to see more into the "pack" and the tribe. I enjoyed getting a peak into the back stories of the vampires and the pack. I also enjoyed learning the old tribal "legends" and understood how Bella could be touched and see the irony of the story of the "3rd Wife".

But my only dislike in the book, and it tends to be this way in her books I've learned, is she doesn't provide much details in the fight scenes. While her description is still vivid at times, I'm a detail oriented person. She builds the climaxes of the stories for a long, long time... and then its over. Its a little disappointing, but I've come to expect it now.

So now I'm onto the 4th and final book... Breaking Dawn. I will say that I'm excited to be on the final book so I can move on to a different type of book but I'm also excited to see what happens to Edward and Bella.... will she or won't she.... that is the question.

My lil Boys...

I have become the kind of woman that talks about her pets as if they were her children. I suppose that's because they are my children.

This weekend, they've been very lazy.... along with the mama.

Milo thinks that he is a human and likes to sit at the kitchen table. Last night while I was eating/watching TV he was busy manning the backyard from the kitchen.

Milo also has an affinity for plastic bags. I had came home with some new pillows for the bed and he proceeded to rip the plastic bags off of them when I wasn't looking and run around the house at top speed.

And Charlie for his part, chased Milo and then took the pillow that was getting the heav ho, decided that the floor was not comfortable enough...

Bon Appetit - BBQ style

Since my Friday afternoon was horrible, I stayed in with a bottle of vino and watched some television. I watched most of the debate and then headed over to the Food Network. I don't know if any of you have seen the Bon App├ętit Best American Restaurants Special. It aired for the first time about a year or so ago.

Well, while I do love the Food Network, this post does actually have a purpose. In the show, Bon Appetit Magazine named 17th Street Bar & Grill the best Ribs in America. This restaurant is located in my hometown of Murphysboro, IL and is actually where my younger brother works. He is a cook there. While, I'm not a HUGE fan of ribs, I don't like eating meat off of a bone, I do love their BBQ sandwiches and love their fried pickles.... hmmm... fried pickles.

You can check out their website here... http://www.17thstreetbarbecue.com/

The owner is a friend of my Step-Dad's and has done extremely well for himself over the years, opening several restaurants, including one in Vegas.

Here's a pic of me and my lil bro at the rehearsal dinner.

FYI - BBQ in our neck of the woods is serious business. Last weekend 17th Street hosted the 21st Annual BBQ Competition. My friends have a team and they actually won 5th for Shoulder, I believe. Congrats!!! Hogs n' Dawgs!

Additionally, the caterer I chose for my wedding is also a World Champion BBQ team. They now are a well know caterer that regularly works for the St. Louis Rams and others.

We actually had rib teasers and mini BBQ sandwiches for appetizers at the wedding. Everyone loved them and cleared them out completely. I couldn't let people come down to So. IL and not taste some BBQ.

For dinner we had the breast chicken people said they ever had and great beef tenderloin. Food and booze were the most important thing to me. I kept asking people, so how did you like the food.... Everyone thought it was the best food they'd had at a wedding. I'll be honest I ate about 2 bites of food, the salad, and a piece of bread.... My taste buds where dead for some reason.

Southern Discomfort

As you may know by now, I'm originally from the Midwest. While I did live for a brief period of time in MS and LA (around age 4 -5, parents still married), I'm a "northerner" and living in the South has taken some adjustments. But some things, just rub me the wrong way I can't stand them.

My #1 discomfort living in the South is..... Fire Ants. OMG I freaking hate these lil bastards. They are horrible. We have a nice yard, maintained well I believe. But we still get ants from time to time. And those lil mothers... create pure agony for me and the dogs.

The last time I did actual yard work I got bit my some ants and what the doctor thinks might be a spider. Somehow it appears that I spread the "venom" to other area of my body. Yeah it's freaking disgusting... I had to get medicine and prescription ointment to get rid of them, I actually have a scar that hasn't went away yet... that was about 3 - 4 weeks ago.

So Fire Ants.... You are #1 on list...

Don't worry I have more to come... hopefully, the southerns that read this blog can help me with some of the others that make the list...

Let the Randomness Commence

Well, its been a really crazy day, and I'm so glad its the weekend. Work was ridiculous today, and as I drove home I realized that Brent wouldn't be there to comfort me. But I gave him a call and he let me bitch for the next 10 minutes.

But now I'm home and happy to be. I'm decompressing with big glass of vino and trying to chill the hell out.

Well to start I've been tagged by Muffy. So thank you Muffy, I've really enjoyed reading your blog and your nice comments you leave me.
Ok so let's get down to business....
1. I don't like eggs or "white milk". I actually I hate them, but I will eat raw brownie batter and French Toast and I'll also eat cereal. I love chocolate milk though. I know it doesn't always make
2. I had purple colored hair at one time in high school, actually "plum" low lights throughout my hair. I actually liked it. I was totally into (and still like) punk rock and ska music including Rancid, Social Distortion, Operation Ivy, Might Bosstones, etc. FYI - I was also a cheerleader. Key Club, Beta Club, Scholar Bowl.
3. I took dance lessons for 8 years, tap, jazz, ballet, and toe shoe ballet for 2 years. P.S. I hated every second of toe shoe ballet.... I regularly competed in dance competitions and did a couple of pageants. Yes I did pageants, only a couple and no I'm not posting any pictures....
4. I don't drink coffee. I love the smell of it but I don't like it at all. But I do love my Sugar Free Red Bull, and that's what I drink every morning at my desk at work....
5. I am the youngest person ever hired at my current employer. When I started I was the youngest person by atleast 10 years.
6. I love trivia games and 80's movies. I was on the quiz bowl team from 5th grade through High School and was the captain of my sorority's team during Greek Week. I'm a total nerd.... that's ok. I kick ass at Trivia Pursuit and Scene It.
7. I spent a month in Australia the summer before my senior year of high school, with People to People Student Ambassadors. It was one of the best experiences of my entire life.
Ok now I have to tag 7 people... Do I know 7 people.... I'm just going to shout out to my fellow military wives.

Sorry my hyperlinks aren't letting me set them up...
She has a great blog and I know several people that will be headed out to WA state in the year or so to fly Prowlers.

She has a wonderful blog, and I loved her wedding blog before. She is a fellow USAF wife.

Lovely Mandy @ http://www.navigatorwife.blogspot.com/ , sorry girls she's private. And I miss her and her kids dearly... She left me in P'cola and moved to Texas. Her hubby and mine went to OTS together. He went B-1s and they'll be in Texas for the next couple of years.

Michelle @ http://www.oeilphotography.blogspot.com/. She is a great photographer, who is extremely talented and sweet. She took our engagements pictures and my boudoir pictures. She recently moved to Jacksonville from P'cola when he husband finished Officer Training this summer. Also, her sweet lil boy Pepe is sick and in the hospital. I am keeping her and Pepe in my prayers.

Any other military wives out there... I love to meet you all.

What about Gavin?

While I don't totally agree with the list, I do think that Brad appears to be a wonderful father. And I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to make babies with him.... of course not now since I'm married....

Puppy Love

I am a total dog person. But, while growing up, we lived in the "country" and we had cats, but outside cats only. They kept the mouse population under control.

But now, on my own, I'm most definitely a dog person. Cats are way too independent for me. Dogs need you, they are so excited when you come home from work, and I love them for that.

As I've said earlier, Brent and I have 2 dogs. I have a 5 year old pug, Milo and "he" has a 1 year old American Bulldog Charlie. We're quite a family, and with Brent gone I get the pleasure of tending to them both. I love them dearly, but together they are a handful. They pick on each other constantly and Milo bites Charlie. I think Charlie likes it for some unknown reason.

Anyway, this past weekend we took them to the vet. Charlie's incision from his stomach surgery (dog likes to eat things he shouldn't.... another EXPENSIVE story) was looking a little weird to me and I wanted to get it checked out and well my lil Milo is allergic to living in Florida (at least that's my diagnosis). Point of the story is, when I was waiting to check out at Banfield (Vet inside Petsmart... great Vets there, highly recommend. I loved the ones in Indy and P'cola) a couple pushed a cart by me with 2 lil baby pug puppies.... Ben and Jerry... OMG I had to see them. I love puggie puppies and Brent had to pull me away from them.

I'll be honest, I didn't want Charlie but I love him. I wanted another pug, Brent said he wanted a bigger dog (even though he admits Milo thinks he is a big dog).

(Brent and Milo taking a nap on the floor in my old apartment.)

Here are a couple of pics of our boys when they we're younger... Memories.... like the corner of my mind....

Charlie's 1st day home at our old house. Look at those feet.

Ani DeFranco Anyone?

Well the other day I noticed that Lyndsy at Yellow Brick Blog updated her song of the week with Wishing and Hoping, off of the soundtrack for My Best Friend's Wedding. This song is by Ani DeFranco, a little known female musician that I absolutely love. But the song on the soundtrack really isn't a good idea of the type of music she plays...

For those who don't know her, I suggest to take a listen to some of her songs.

A little bit of info on Ani - she came into the scene in the early 90's, she founded her own record label, and she is a true feminist. Initially she came out as a bi-sexual so some of her songs are directed to women and some to men. I love her music. I love her lyrics.

Her songs got me through some really tough breakups and relationships, as well as, being anthems for me and my girlfriends on our road trips.

Gravel has my MOST favorite lyric in the world, especially when getting over a guy (or girl in some cases)....
"You may keep me from ever be happy but you're not gonna stop me from having FUN!"

I have gotten to see her concert several times, and each time its totally awesome. When she plays full out with her full band, its amazing. But be warned, me and my friends are usually one of only a few "non-lesbians" there. It isn't weird at all, unless you aren't expecting it.

FYI - Needless to say, she is very liberal and some of her songs promote her beliefs. I hope that even if you don't agree with her politics you can still appreciate a lot of her messages, because they speak to me in a way that no other female artist does.

Lyrics from Dilate:

so i'll walk the plank and i'll jump with a smile
if i'm gonna go down
i'm gonna do it with style
and you won't see me surrender
you won't hear me confess
'cuz you've left me with nothing
but i've worked with less

you are a china shop
and i am a bull
you are really good food
and i am full
i guess everything is timing
i guess everything's been said
so i am coming home with an empty head

people talk
about my image
like i come in two dimensions
like lipstick is a sign of my declining mind
like what i happen to be wearing the day
that someone takes a picture
is my new statement for all of womankind
So I hope I've opened you up to a great female artist. If you already know and love her... then right on....

What the Hell?

So I'm watching today's Oprah, its about the recession and people that are in debt. Right now, she's talking to people that are $90k in debt and have 29 freaking credit cards.

Ok America, what the hell is wrong with this picture? I am 28 years old, I've done pretty well for myself over the past 6 years since I graduated college. But here's the kicker.... I have never been able to get a credit card. People that are in debt, get credit cards. People like me, that never had a credit card, no student loans, no car loans, no debt.... guess what... no credit for you. You're undesirable... You have insufficient credit history. People, I've been turned down for a Victoria Secret card.

Brent, my financial planner that he is, has been helping me try to build credit. My mom co-signed for my car loan, I even took out a small loan and paid it back over a 2 period of time just purely to generate some credit. Its been tough. I've had to buy furniture out right, we're talking a couple thousand bucks. I had to pay double deposits for things. Its totally sucked people. Luckily, my 1st job out of college I had a company car so all my bills were paid out of my 1st paycheck of the month. My 2nd job, I got large quarterly bonuses that I could save for those large purchases. And now, I get a monthly commission.

I will say over the past couple years I've slowly built some credit. I got a Banana Republic card and I was thrilled when I was able to get a Sears card to buy my elliptical machine with. But that's it. (I recently closed the Sears card.)

But the best thing about getting married was truly getting credit. My husband Brent has fabulous credit, and he actually put me on one of his credit cards for wedding purchases. And I'm now paying it off.

So here's my main question, and a major discussion that Brent and I had over dinner this past weekend.... how did it get THIS bad. What were people thinking.... especially people that bought houses they could never afford, getting 20 credit cards, buying new cars.... I'm just so confused....

Now they are saying that getting loans for the next couple of years is going to be extremely tough. Brent and I are planning on buying a house when we move to NC. This all makes me nervous, luckily by that time we should have saved a healthy down payment but we will also have a VA loan if we need it.

Go Cubs Go!

My husband, who doesn't read this blog BTW, is a HUGE Cubs fan. So I'm buying him a 2008 NL Central Division Champs shirt. He's going to love it.

For any of your Cub fans, or Chicago fans in general the BEST website is http://www.wrigleyvillesports.com/

If she's FAT, then I'm clinically obese!

Is anyone else pissed off that Eva Longoria keeps telling everyone she's fat? I find that incredibly wrong to say, because first of all, she could gain 10 lbs and not be fat. However, if I can 10 lbs, and that would be a different story.

It really bothers me, when a woman that is teeny tiny like that says she's "fat". I guess what bothers me so much, is that women dream about being her "fat" weight and it continues to perpetuate the issues that women have with their bodies. Me being one of them. God, she would think that I was the 700 lb man that needs to be wheeled out of his bedroom.

Sorry I needed to vent. If you're pregnant, that's ok. If you don't want to talk about it, then don't. Or just say you've gain a couple of lbs. I don't really give a sh!t, but don't call yourself fat. Because honey, I don't think you know what fat is....

Hello... Lover.........

This is a totally gratuitous post dedicated to one sexy bitch. The man, the legend, David Beckham. Good God! I can't get enough of this man...
I would never tire of looking at this fine piece.

He's so hot and has a British accent, I melt....

Discount Diva

Hi. My name is Heather and I'm a Shopaholic. There I've admitted it, but its something I've known all along. But I would like it to be known, that I'm always looking for a bargain. Also, moving to P'cola where my shopping options are extremely limited and the fact that I'm short, narrow shoulders, and big booty, I can't really rely on online shopping too much because I need to try things on.

That being said, I love Target as does most of the world. Unfortunately, I miss my Super-Target near my old apt in Indy like no other... but I'm dealing/coping.

Anyway - today I'm sporting a cute lil number that I bought at Target. I've also bought it in Black as well. I'm a firm believer if you like something and it fits perfectly buy it in multiple colors/fabrics/etc. So I do and I did.

I've paired it with my Franco Sarto Metallic Brown leather/wood platforms which I bought 2+ years ago at DSW (which I don't have any near me in P'cola) and they look a lot like Michael Kors wooden platforms. Additionally, I'm wearing large gold hoops from Old Navy and my White leather and Wicker large Coach purse. Its my go-to for the summer and its still summer down here...

P.S. Side note, I got an XS, it made me smile... especially since I know I've gained back 5 lbs or so since the wedding... damn it...

Weekend Wrap Up

Brent came home this weekend, and it was so great to see him. It is a wonderful change to be sharing a bed with him again. It's nice to roll over and have him there, it is comforting and a needed change.

Friday night we went to the new Chinese Buffet that opened close to our house. Its the 2nd time we ate there, it is surprisingly good and has a lot of options. After that we stopped off and loaded up on dog food. We came home watched a couple episodes of The Tudors (my new DVDs from Netflix) and played a rousing game of Scrabble. Yes, we are dorks, but we get into some mean Scrabble competitions. I successfully kicked his butt, he wanted to quit 3 times, but I wouldn't let him.

Saturday we headed to yoga, met some of our friends for a late breakfast at Bagelhead's (a cute lil bagel/coffee shop near the water), took the dogs to the Vet, and then bought our books. We got home and low and behold our wedding DVDs were in the mailbox. YEAH!!! Needless to say I popped that sucker in and Brent proceeded out to weedwack the yard ( I don't know how to do it and the neighbor boy I pay to mow the yard doesn't weedwack).

Saturday night we headed out to dinner at the FishHouse in Pensacola. We had a great time and the food was wonderful. Brent actually talked me into eating sushi, I have always disliked it. But we had Alaskan Rolls, and I liked them.

Side note: Not being from the South I didn't realize that Brent and I matched, wearing Navy and Orange (Auburn colors) and Auburn was playing that night. The hostess asked if we were Auburn fans. We're from what we call the Midwest, but southerns call the "North". I'm new to the "dressing up" that occurs for sporting events.

Take me to a football game, I'm wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. My friend Lauren, who is from Chicago, is marrying a great guy from Atlanta, got a crash course on the attire when they went to her 1st Georgia football game. He didn't warn her, and she felt totally out of place.

Funniest part - when Lauren and I met in college, she told me that I was the "most southern" person she knew ... since I was from Southern Illinois. She made fun of what lil accent I had then... How I say soda instead of pop, etc... Now, she's marrying Rob who is totally a southern gentleman.... Its totally cute and ironic and I love it.

And in case you're wondering.... I successfully finished off the bottle of Sophia and it was good.

Book Review - New Moon

So after Brent let this afternoon to head back up to Mississippi, and settled in and prepared to finish the book. For those who might not know, New Moon, is the 2nd book in the Stephanie Meyers' Twilight series. I have to admit the whole reason I've started the series to see what all the talk is about. And based upon that, I have also gotten Brent to read them as well. He just finished Twilight and hoped that I would finish New Moon before he left.... sadly that didn't happen. But with gift certificate my mom sent him as a "late" birthday present, we bought the 3rd and 4th books. Yes.... we're total nerds. Something even nerdier --- we had to pick up Brent's pre-ordered copy of Brisingr, the 3rd book in the Eragon series.

(side note - the author wrote the 1st book at 13, that to me is completely amazing. I listened to the 1st book on CD when we drove home to Illinois for Thanksgiving. The book far exceeds the movie, as it always seems to be.)

Overall, I thought New Moon was good and enjoyable. But in this book, I found Bella a little annoying at times. I found her to be so self-absorbed at times that I wanted shake her. Like the 1st book, it was pretty obvious what direction the book was taking, and what "type" of character she'd be introducing. Bella's dreams tell you, as the reader, everything you want to know. But for some reason, they don't seem to enlighten her.

To be honest, I felt the book moved rather slowly for most of the 1st half of the book, after that, it started to pick up and began to move quicker. The book ended, as good books usually do, in a perplexing situation, and I'm interested to see how Bella is able to deal with certain "issues" that are coming to the forefront.
So I am starting into the 3rd book, Eclipse. Well tomorrow that is... if I get a lunch break.

My 100th Post

Well, well, well... Today is my 100th post, I can't believe that people are actually reading and caring about what lil ol me has to say.

For my 100th post I would have liked to have some cute, witty blog, but unfortunately that its going to be the case. I dedicate this, my 100th post, to Travis Barker and DJ AM. If you have not heard yet, they were both in a horrible plane crash in the early morning hours of Saturday in Columbia, SC. It appears that the pilot over ran the runway during take off and went through and fence and hit a highway off ramp. Due to the fact they the accident occurred during take off, the plane had a full tank of gas which resulted in the plane becoming engulfed in flames. Six people were on the plane, the pilot and co-pilot, Travis and DJ AM, and Travis' assistant and security. Travis and Adam "DJ AM" were the only survivors.

Travis and Adam are currently recovering from 2nd and 3rd degree burns and are in critical condition. It appears they were ejected from the plane during the crash and were on fire when bystanders came upon them on the highway.

First off, my heart goes out to all the families affected by this horrible accident. Secondly, I pray for the timely and safe recovery for both Travis and Adam. I have been a huge fan of Travis since he was in the AquaBats (prior to Blink 182). I had the opportunity to see him in concert on several occasions when I was younger. And had the chance to see DJ AM at PURE when we were in Vegas earlier this year. Both have such amazing talents and are too young to leave us so soon.

So today, on my 100th post, I hope you all keep Travis and Adam in your thoughts and prayers.

Weekend Essentials

So per muffymartini's suggestion I headed to Cost Plus World Market over my lunch break. Yes, I call it by its full name, I always have and always will. Some of my friends make fun of me.

Anyway, she was ranting and raving about the explosion of all things pumpkin so I went with the intention of taking a look at the decorations, and ended up with with I normally end up with BOOZE! That's right, I bought 2 arms full over booze. I love their selection of sparkling wines and champagne. I'm a champagne and white wine gal, sorry not a huge fan of reds.

So I bought Brent's favorite And then I bought some of my own...

Now I have only had Sofia once before, but I really liked it. I was totally excited because the last like 10 times that I have been to Cost Plus World Market (see I did it again), they have been sold out. I have not yet had the Rose Wine but I am excited. There is a vineyard near Indy that had the best Rose Wine so I'm hoping it will be similar to theirs.

FYI - Veuve Clicquot is my favorite champagne but it can be pricey. But, its on sale right now, at you guessed it, Cost Plus World Market for $37.00. I was going to get a couple of bottles, but I thought I had enough booze. I have 2 bottles of Pinot Gringo in the pantry and a couple bottles of white wine from our wedding (we only used wine from the area's local vineyards, a blog for another time.)

So now I can't wait to get home and put that baby on ice.... Have a great weekend everyone, and Drink Up! Salud!

Homeward Bound

I was suppose to head home to Illinois this evening after work to see my mom. However, my parents now have to be out of town, so I'm not going home. BUT, my hubby is going to come down from Mississippi. YEAH! I'm so excited.

He should get home around 6 or 7pm tomorrow night and I can't wait.

A couple of updates for you:
1. My mom is doing ok, she's getting an MRI on Tuesday. She was suppose to have one this week, but the machine broke earlier that morning.

2. My hair, so I got about 3.5" taken off, so it doesn't look drastically different. I kinda wussed out. My old hairdresser moved to NYC right after my wedding so I had to go to someone else at the salon. She did an ok job, but I decided not to chop it all off. I might do it before Thanksgiving though, we shall see.

The pic is bad. I had my hair up in a ponytail. I had to water the yard tonight after work. Yes, I'm sporting my ol AGD IM 98-99 Champs Shirt. Yeah!!! I created the quote on the back of this "Success is never handed to you, you have to earn it!" Like it, yeah thought so...

My Girls

So I can't believe I hadn't blogged about this earlier, my Bachelorette Party in VEGAS baby VEGAS! It was one of the best weekends of my life. We had an awesome time and it went by was too fast.

We all flew in to meet mid day Friday and stayed at the Mandalay Bay. Since Lauren (the one that booked the room) flight was delayed, the rest of us met out by the pool and proceeded to get drunk. Lauren finally arrived and we headed up to our room, we got a very nice 2 master bedroom suite, and it was actually quite affordable when split between us all. I got to open a couple of gifts, we ordered some late, late lunch. That night we went out to dinner at the hotel and then out to PURE, DJ AM was there, and it was off the hook. We talked our way into the VIP area and hung out with a groom of guys from Chicago there for a Bachelor party. Some headed back to the room early, but I insisted on staying longer and dancing my booty off. Amy (MOH), Lauren, other Amy, and I got back to the room and the rest were sleeping. I wasn't ready to go to bed, MOH Amy and I went down to the tables. I lost $50 in 10 minutes so I headed back up and went to bed.

This is what drunk looks like the first day there. Sporting my new "Soon to Be Mrs. Warren" hat. Thanks Jes.

In Da Club. We got there right when it opened, and stood in the girls only line. We didn't have to pay, it was awesome.

The next day we all woke up pretty early and all felt like crap. But we had a big day planned, our friend Adam (who lives out in Vegas) had arranged for us to have a pimp ass cabana at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand. Unknown to us, it had just open a week or two before. It was totally off the freaking hook. We had bottle service all day, a private pool, awesome food, and so much fun. I haven't been that drunk by noon in a really long time (since the beer breakfast days of college).

I highly suggest checking it out, the cabana is pricey, I'll admit. But we had an incredible hook up so it wasn't that bad. Plus when you're in Vegas money doesn't really seem to matter. Its Champagne all day long, right? Oh.. well it was for me....

One of the awesome cabanas.

We left at about 5 or so, I think. It all started to get a little blurry. I pasted out in the lounge chair. Our friend Adam got into a fight. Amy MOH threw up in the cabana (the service staff had it cleaned up in no joke 2 minutes). FYI - it was Amy's 28th b-day too. And to be honest, in all the time I've known Amy I've never seen her get sick, so I know she was trashed.

* this is the fighting words going down...

So we left the MGM, I headed back with Amy in a cab and we passed out. Not before Amy puked out the window of the cab.... Poor Amy... The cab driver didn't even question it. I know everytime I've went out in Chicago and I girl got sick in the car, they flipped their sh!t, must be different in Vegas. Don't worry, I tipped him good.

We all started filing back home to the room, and unfortunately, none of us could make it out that night. I don't think we even ate dinner.
