Prepare for Incoming...

6 days and Mr. Jetplane will be home.... Yeah! I'm so excited but I'm also dreading it a little, to be completely honest.

Milo and I have been straight chilling for like 6 months now. We're in our groove and we've gotten used to it being just the 2 of us again. Well next week, my sweetie and our big dog Charlie are coming back into the crib. Its great but that means, all my bad habits have to stop and prepare for a huge change.

We had a conversation on the phone last night that went sort of like this...

Mr. " I can't wait to come home, I miss you like a crazy person"
Me: "I miss you too but now I have to stop being messy"
Mr.: "Yeah I bet, there's no telling what the place looks like."
Me: "Yes, there are shoes and socks everywhere...(laughing)"
Mr.:" I believe it. That place better be spotless when I get home."
Me: "Yeah right, we both know you didn't marry me for my domestic skills and its not going to start now."

You see, I'm quite the messy gal. I'll admit it. I leave shoes all over the place. I also take off my socks off while laying on the couch and you'll find them - in the couch, under the couch, in the blanket... it annoys him. I also have a ton of clothes and I generally try on 2 to 3 outfits every morning - with different undergarments, necklaces, shoes, etc. And I proceed to not put them away. I also leave clothes in the dryer FOREVER or have a pile of dirty clothes in the laundry room with no intention of doing it until is absolutely necessary.

So these bad habits have to be stopped before he gets home. Milo is going to be pissed, he'll be out of my bed and back on the floor.... I haven't told him yet.

Love it!

I think we all have these ... "reservations" ... about them coming home and busting into the routine we have established to get through those long absences!

I'm sure he won't even notice a sock or two... at least not the first day.

Hahah, I think that is sooo normal!! It is going to be really weird having to share the house (particularly our bathroom) with the hubs again when he comes home. I have become so set in my ways!! And the thought of cooking meals again..? Icky.

I was soooo messy when Mr. Marine was deployed. I ate whenever I wanted, watched soap operas and other reality shows at night...then he returned.

Sports took over the TV, he was always wondering when I was going to clean (ha ha ha)..

It was an adjustment, but one I was happy to make since he was FINALLY back home!

I'm the same way with clothes. I leave them lying around everywhere and keep clothes in the dryer way too long.

I am an organized messy person. I usually let the organized girl out and keep the messy one in hiding. I can usually keep the messy gal contained, but when my boyfriend is out of town, I let her out and she loves it. :)

Ha ha the boyfriend calls me the little tornado and blames HIS messy room on me. :) It's normal! How exciting that he's going to be here so soon!
