AHHH Hell Yeah!!

Its been a crazy ass time for the Jetplanes for the past couple of months. Between Mr's flight school, my mother's surgery, his family matters, my work, painting the house, tending to 2 crazy ass dogs....we need a lil time to ourselves.

And this weekend (and Monday since I'm taking it off) we're heading to CHARLESTON, SC!!!!

I don't know if I have been this excited in such a long time... We got good deal on a hotel in the Historic area and I've already booked a Valentine's Day brunch at Magnolias thanks to the help of Grits.
Can't wait!!!

so fun! we JUST went there a week or so ago! A few of my most recent posts are all about it (with suggestions too of what to do too). We didn't have much time, since Hubby was on a business trip, but we went to Magnolias too and we loved it! and Market Street, we also heard King Street has a bunch of great shops too. glad you get to go and get away! :)

Ahh, Charleston is magical. I'd move back there in a second! Well, I love San Diego too, so I don't know, haha!

I'd love to suggest the Slightly North of Broad (S.N.O.B.) downtown, one of my favorite places to eat, or Sweetwater Cafe for their fried green tomatoes. AHHH. I'm dying!

HAVE FUN!!!

Ah, we just left Charleston, and I hated it there... BUT... it is a GREAT place to vist! I just didn't like actually living there.

Anyway... there is a really great little coffee shop on Market Street. I think it's actually near the Sweetwater Cafe. I can't remember the name of it exactly, but its really close to the cafe. If you want coffee or some sort of chai, you should check it out.

Then anything over on Shem Creek is great. And... check out some of the local beaches. I prefer Folly Beach.

Have fun!

I was born and raised in SC and Charleston is definitely one of my favorite places ever! You will love it! And Magnolias won't disappoint... it is by far one of the best restaurants down there! You have to go to the "Slave Market" on the weekend, too. You can find all kinds of things there! I hope you have a blast!

Enjoy!

I grew up just south of Charleston and went to college there, it's a great city! Magnolias is good, but there are so many fantasitic restaurants there you can't go wrong (except don't eat on Market Street...way to touristy...except for Pennisula Grill.) There is a fab seafood restaurant over in Mount Pleasant called The Wreck...oh, I miss the food!

I love Charleston- you must try FIG (http://www.eatatfig.com) it's super delish. Also, Pearlz Oyster bar is fun for apps. And it might be too cold, but my fave spot in town is the Rooftop bar at the Market hotel.

I'm originally a Carolina girl and there isn't a better place in SC (or the US, for that matter!) than Charleston. I would LOVE to live there someday. Have a fabulous time!!

I'd like to second Becca's suggestion to try S.N.O.B (Slightly North of Broad)it's nothing short of fabulous. A good friend and I always head there when we are in town for the library meetings in November.
Enjoy!
