Pug Friday

After work we're off to spend the weekend in Utah.  We're actually coming back on Sunday and doing much needed house stuff on Monday...so there will be plenty of laboring on Labor Day.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Oh boy...

We hit 29 weeks today...holy cow...can we please put the breaks on this speeding train?  To say I'm overwhelmed and stressed out would be the understatement of the century.  At best we now have 11 weeks until baby boy makes his arrival.  11 weeks people... 11 freaking weeks.  p.s. I had a dream last night that we just found out that he was actually a she.  That was a crazy dream :)

My husband tends to think that 11 weeks is plenty of time.  I on the other hand feel like that's a nanosecond.  We have so much to do.  Currently there is no carpet or furniture in what is to become the nursery.  All of the guest bedroom furniture is stashed in our living room while the loft over the family room (aka new guest bedroom) has no carpet either.  We're getting new carpet if you couldn't tell.  I had hoped this would happen while I was gone next week to Illinois (for my 1st shower:)) but it doesn't appear its going to be possible.  Cue more panic.

We're heading to Utah this weekend for a lil getaway and an IKEA trip.  We need a dresser/changing table for baby boy and we're going to get rid of the dresser that has been in the guest bedroom.

It will be nice to get out of town for a couple of days but I know there is just so much to do here at our lil abode.  We're still renovating our master bathroom... or yes that's still going on as well.

11 weeks people.  11 weeks.

So instead of loosing it altogether, here are a couple images I found recently that my jaded lil heart happy.  Enjoy!

Mr is coming home this evening after being gone on another TDY for 2 weeks.  2012 has been rough with the constant TDYs.  I thought after the deployment of 2011 I would have him home more, but alas the Air Force had different plans.

We are thankful because it looks like he'll be home from now until when baby boy arrives.  We hit 28 weeks today.  Cue the panic :)

My life in pictures

Hello all, sorry I've been a crappy lil blogger.  Its been a crazy summer around here.  We hit 27 weeks today...and I just booked us for a childbirth/breastfeeding class on base at the end of Sept.  That's an all day Saturday class...cue the excitement :)

Mr Jetplane is gone again on another TDY but before he left we went with a bunch of friends to see Journey.  We had a blast.

Milo and I have been going on a lot of walks which he absolutely loves.  Here he is trying to make friends with ducks.  He loves water and he really wanted to jump in.

Here is a lil taste at some of the artwork that is going to be appearing in baby boy's room.

Yesterday I had to have my glucose test.  I seriously willed myself to not throw up for the next hour.  I find out my results on Monday when I got for my normal appointment, crossing fingers all is well.
Last weekend all the squadron ladies met up for dinner.  When the boys are away the women tend to go out to eat and drink :)  Sadly I had to stick with lemonade but the short ribs on top of pureed potatoes and leeks were amazing...and the chocolate ice cream for dessert wasn't too bad either.
There might be a constant flow of clothes showing up at our house....shhh... can't help it.

Here we are headed to a girlfriend's house for dinner on Tuesday night.  I had a lovely dinner with some of ladies in the squadron planning my shower out here.  I'm living in long maxi dresses right now.  This cute one is actually from Walmart of all places, I bought it in 2 colors.  Wish I would have gotten it in more before it was gone.
