It took her many months to get the old paint of (she used a hand sander), but it's absolutely beautiful! The good thing about unfinished furniture is that you can do whatever you want with it.

When my mom was finished with everything, my family couldn't believe it was the same bedroom set! It included a headboard, footboard, dresser, chest of drawers, and a desk. I LOVE it!Madison Sandershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18350350402291138649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7551831423453911791.post-43128790605438428402009-01-05T20:13:00.000-06:002009-01-05T20:13:00.000-06:00GO for it! You can totally do it! you can even ask someone at your local home depot or lowes to show you how to do it and what satin would be best for the look you want. just remember, follow the grain of the wood! If you couldn't tell, I've done this tons of times, with my headboard and my book shelves and my desk, hahaha.:)
I'm so exicted for you and I think you should totally do this! yay!Dugout Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14645430768570824866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7551831423453911791.post-85738671806013417672009-01-05T15:10:00.000-06:002009-01-05T15:10:00.000-06:00You can definitely do it!And how amazing is it goi...You can definitely do it!
And how amazing is it going to look? It's great because you can buy items in a set along and along without spending a ton of $$ at one time. I've helped him stain our nightstands and tv stand so far, and we're about to tackle a dining room table. It's not too hard, just make sure you have a well ventilated space to work in (and a fan)! You can do it!Living for the Little Momentshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04865753436320460709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7551831423453911791.post-5157664722584069402009-01-05T15:06:00.000-06:002009-01-05T15:06:00.000-06:00love it and yes you can definitely stain it yourse...love it and yes you can definitely stain it yourself!! post pics when you're done :)Girl Meets Beauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14879055931051643806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7551831423453911791.post-17885653249584103532009-01-05T15:01:00.000-06:002009-01-05T15:01:00.000-06:00What a good buy!! You can go to Home Depot, (or whichever home improvment store nearby)and ask the people in the paint department where to start. There are also tons of tips online. Go for it!
