Today is Friday and thank god. Ever since the wedding, my weeks have went by so slowly and I can't wait till Friday afternoon to get here. Which never seems soon enough. When I was a "Ms." the days flew by too quickly. I wanted them to go slowly and give me more time to prepare, plan, and daydream about the glorious wedding that was waiting for me.

But now.... the wedding is a memory, a good one, but still a memory. And while I have my proofs to keep me company I'm still awaiting the DVDs of the day. So as sad and pathetic as this sounds.... I'm alittle depressed that I'm married and not planning my wedding anymore.

So I obviously need some projects to keep me happy, pre-occupied, and moving.... so the blog is something to do just that.

In addition to the blog:

1. Yard Sale the end of the month (hopefully) - getting rid of all the stuff in our house that we don't need since we got brand new stuff from the wedding. (yeah getting rid of my MS dishes from 2000)
2. Looking toward the move in March 2009 to North Carolina. Begin the planning process and house shopping from a far.
3. Begin scrapbooking - we'll see how this goes. But I have all the crafting stuff from the wedding that needs to be put to go use.

We'll see how it goes....

Well, we're from the Midwest and Midwest people love sports. So we love sports, and my Hubby loves the Chicago Cubs. I like the Cubs, but he loves the Cubs. So I wanted to make sure the CUBS were well represented at our wedding.

I'll admit, I didn't have a clue what etsy was until I started wedding planning and reading wedding blogs. And then... well I became obsessed, I'd admit it. So I have bought a couple of items from Etsy and I wanted to take a moment to show my absolute favorite thing I bought, my ring bearer pillow.





First off, I live in Pensacola,Fl and low and below the wonderful lady that made the pillow just happens to reside in the P'cola as well. What a small world.





Anyway... Here it is in all its glory. I love it. Ian, my now nephew put it through its paces but I'm happy to report it is still in one piece. Unfortunately, at my parents house in Illinois.

I ran across a wonderful site during my reading of the wedding blog http://with--this--ring.blogspot.com/. Its a great blog, and I read it atleast once a week. I got the idea of a courtship story from Darci's site. I got connected with Ellen and am so happy we did.

We always like to think we have a great story and it appears that we do. Ellen was great to work with and I love having our story written down in black and white.

We got 75 books made (her minimum order). Since I thought this was such a personal item, I didn't want to give it out at the wedding. I chose to put them at each place setting at the rehearsal dinner. Everyone loved them. It was actually quite funny, I walked into the banquet room a little after everyone else had and started getting the gifts ready to give to everyone. No joke, the room was complete silence. Everyone was deep into reading the story of us. Even the hubby's guy friends thought it was awesome, now that's saying something.
