Today is the DAY

207 days ago I sent the love of my life to war. It was a cold, dark, windy night and I watched my husband take off and fly away to the other side of the world.

He flew over 100 missions and only had a handful of days off. I have some idea of what he's been doing, but I have no idea what he's been through. I pray for guidance on this next journey we are taking, trying to do our best at reintegrating our lives back together.

Today he is coming home to me. Today my heart will be whole again.

My cup runneth over...

Thank you all for your kind words and support during this time. It means more than you'll ever know. I continue to pray for the squadron that is replaced Mr. Jetplane's and all those currently deployed. God Bless and Godspeed.

Yay! So exciting! Glad you will have your hubby back! My husband is graduating from pilot training in December and is thinking of going for F 15Es so I have read your blog as inspiration and possibly what I will be going through in the next couple years.

I was blog surfing, and your blog header caught my eye...You see, my husband & I met(his brother introduced us), I worked part-time with his brother ). We dated for 2 1/2 weeks, wrote letters for 11 motnhs and he came home form Germany where he was stationed to marry me. The song called leavin'On a Jet Plane was the last song we danced to before he left (it was our last date) and he played that song on the last cassette tape he sent to me just before coming home to get married. He was my SOUL-MATE....we were married almost 29 yrs before he passed away ( 48yrs old ) due to an ER Drs. neglaect. My DH Terry had a seizure disorder.
THanks so much for the precious memories !
