Don't Follow this Yellow Brick Road

Good Morning...and Happy Monday?!? Yeah, that's a question I'm not quite sure if its happy or not. I hope everyone had a glorious Easter weekend. The Jetplanes enjoyed the sunshine, yard work, and food with friends. But one thing that put a serious damper on the weekend...
POLLEN!!! Its everywhere! And when I say EVERYWHERE I mean EVERYWHERE!!
You walk in some yards and your shoes turn yellow. Our driveway has a river of yellow on it. People's cars are covered with a 1/8" of yellow powder. We had to close our windows because our leather chair and ottoman were covered in yellow dust, and I don't even want to tell you how disgusting it was when I swept the living room floor yesterday.
We've been told the streets on base will turn yellow...Yeah...That's not a Yellow Brick Road I'm interested in.... especially when I woke up this morning...hardly being able to breathe...ugh...
I'm ready to click my heels and take me away from this...

Oh I hate it for you! It's always right at Easter that the pollen descends on the Carolinas. It's never fun, but it will eventually get washed away with a good rain! But until then, hang in there.
Don't use furnish polish this time of year, and that will help tremendously. Also, when the dogs come inside, wipe them with a dryer sheet. It will be yellow, but heck they smell good,.
Ahhh, yes! I remember the lovely shade of yellow that descends upon beautiful North Carolina in the spring! Our black lab used to turn yellow when he spent the day lounging on the screened in porch!
The yellow pollen is the same in our neighborhood in Austin, my white car was literally covered in yellow... I finally broke down and washed it yesterday, only to wake up today and see a yellow car in my driveway again.... hopefully it passes as quickly for ya'll as it does down here!
Same here in South Texas. YUCK!!
I do not miss this! When I lived down south I dreaded that yellow pollen. Good luck on it not getting into the house anymore!
Ick! Pollen everywhere sounds awful. Hope you don't suffer any major allergy attacks!
Pollen = my worst enemy.
UGH! Pollen bites. No but really its awful enough without it biting too. I'm a new blog friend :) I feel your pain!

We just moved to the east coast and I know what you mean! It was beautiful out but we had to keep the windows closed because of my allergies. When I cleaned my car windshield it looked like mustard.
I saw you were moving to Idaho, its beautiful out there! My best friend lives in Boise. I've never been to Mountain Home but I'm sure its just as nice. I grew up in the mid-west so seeing the mountains everyday was amazing...
