Do you ever have those songs that just make you happy? Songs that put you in a good mood?

Sure I have songs that makes me want to dance, lift of a glass, or sing along (or maybe even cry) but some songs just make me happy. They lift my spirit and sometimes we need a lil lift, am I right?



You may have seen a portion of this on the Super Bowl. Its a great song but the video is pretty darn cool.



And this song makes me delirious happy for some reason. It makes driving to the grocery store or typing up my 5th report of the day so much more enjoyable.

Somethings are just getting on my nerves lately...

I'm not PMS'n so that can't be my excuse. I think I'm just reaching the point of annoyance with deployment. Everything is rubbing me the wrong way lately.

Here are a few of the suspects that are on my sh!tlist this week

1. My dumbass Blackberry. I've been bitching about getting a new phone for over 5 months now. Why am I so damn lazy.


2. The scale..aka my enemy. Why am I so damn lazy...could also go here. I did lose another .6lbs at my WW weigh in this week but come on. I hate that others drop weight every week. I've lost like 5 lbs since JUNE. At this rate and eating disorder would be easier...I kid I kid people. I use sarcasm to deal with my problems :) But seriously, this sucks. I am such an instant gratification person.

3. And this.... is really annoying me. Any one else watch Design Star? Anyone else read the hilarious write ups each week by this lil sassy lady? If not you should. I'm at the point were I'm pretty sure they are keeping her on purely for TV purposes which annoys me.


Well I guess I should end it with something that doesn't annoy me. Just so you think I'm not a total Debbie Downer. If you are a True Blood fan, check out these two fabulous guys who provide some weekly dish about each episode.

This post is going to be all over the place, so apologies all around...

1. Ummmm, how freaking good was Mad Men on Sunday? I'm so happy its back. I adore how Peggy has come into her own, Joan has her own office, and Betty is dealing with a b!tch of a MIL. (didn't have that with Don since he had no family) Even though Don is now dealing with the consequences of his actions, you still like him, you still want him to come out on the other side...which I totally believe he will. Don Draper is a Big F'in Deal people.

2. Now True Blood - Its picking and choosing parts of the books it wants to follow. I believe in Alan Ball and all but seriously - why wouldn't Bill heal after being cut? I hate Cooter, but love how trashy Debbie Pelt is. Talbot is wonderful and Franklin is a total freakshow. And this dog fighting ring....YAWN. Ummm hello - only 1st born can be a WERE, duh! And let's get to saving Pam, she's awesome!

3. The state of our current house - CRAZY. We're walking on backer board over here... We ripped up all the flooring ourselves in the living room, hallway, kitchen, entry way, family room and stairs to the loft. Yummy dark hardwood is going in its place. Tearing it up ourselves saved us almost $1,000. We are planning on putting down the plywood ourselves too, which saves another $1,000+. I'm excited for the new floors, but not excited for the bill or having to work through all the noise its going to cause when they install.

4. My garden is growing and I have harvested several summer squash, 1 spaghetti squash, and 1 tomato.

5. We saw Inception at IMAX the weekend it came out. Amaze-balls. Seriously.

6. I have learned that there are more VW bugs in Idaho then anywhere I have ever been. Mr and I are constantly hitting each other "Slugbug no slug backs".


We went on a walk around the hood yesterday evening - 4 of them. How is that even possible?
By the way - we ONLY do it for VW Bugs.

Is anyone else concerned with how they are going to watch all the HBO shows, Mad Men, HGTV Design Star, and My Boys which is also coming on this Sunday (which is also another great show and set in Chicago). Ugh!!!!

Yes I'm addicted to television - SO WHAT!

Well hello there... Sorry I haven't posted Pug Friday recently, it makes me sad because to be completely honest, its probably my favorite post of the week. As it is totally apparent, I love me some puggies... But this week's is going to be a lil different.

Over the years, Milo has become my television watching buddy. And when I say he watches television, I am not joking, he gets into it. If there is something dramatic going on, he sometimes starts growling and if a chase scene comes on, he's been known to run barking to tv. So I often leave the tv in the living on for the dogs during the day while I am in the office, Milo enjoy watching the Today show (especially Hoda and Kathy Lee) and later in the day HGTV.

With Mr. Jetplane gone until the weekend I have been working at cleaning out my DVR. 'We' were watching RHONJ, obviously one of Milo's favorites...since those bitches be crazy....

As you can see - he is totally watching, he sits there intently the entire time, even through commercials. He has been known to get pissed and go to the other side of the room if you are talking too much or block his view...yeah he's quite a lil diva.

But last night, I was watching and twittering about the most intense Greys I think I have ever seen, he definitely wasn't interested at all... He slept through the whole thing.
By the way, those pillows aren't his. Since this is the 'man cave' of our house and we have ONLY reclining furniture, I like to lay on the floor and watch tv sometimes. He thinks those floor pillows make a great bed...good thing I only pay $5 a piece for those...

Is it bad that this is the 1st thing that comes to mind...

If any of my fine readers follow me via Twitter (you don't have to but if you want to...well that's cool by me) you'll already be well aware that I have a slight addiction to Teen Mom on MTV. Ok, a slight addiction might be a lie, ok a blatant lie, because I am a full blown addict to Teen Mom and its predecessor for 16 & Pregnant (oh and the Pregnancy Pact, and those 2 teen pregnancy movies on Lifetime the one with Kirsten Dunst and the one with Brian Austin Green...come on you know those too..you don't have to lie about it, we're all friends here...)

Yes, my name is Mrs. Jetplane, I'm 29, married, and a proud parent of 2 furbabies and I have a serious addiction to any and all shows about teen pregnancy. I hope the youth of America is as drawn to these shows as I am.

I'll be honest when I watch them, sometimes I'm like "DAMN...Gina.... I'm so not mature enough to have a baby right now!!" Yeah that's right, you heard me...I question if I'm ready to have children and I hope, no I pray, that these young kids who watch this show realize what a HUGE ASS responsibility being a parent is.

I also hope that while watching this show:

1. More pregnant teens realize that adoption is a very valid option for them.
2. Farrah sees that hanging out with dudes all the time, isn't where its at.
3. Amber and Gary both realize that they both need attitude adjustments.
4. Ryan's parents realize that their son is a giant bum and isn't helping their grandson AT ALL.
5. Maci realizes that Ryan is a huge WASTE of time.
6. Tyler and Catelynn live happily ever after.

Well Happy Eve of Christmas Eve to all you lovely readers of mine..if I still have some, since I've been quite the crappy lil blogger lately.

I do apologize, the Jetplanes' lives have been a little crazy lately and my workload, well...my cup runneth over to the nth degree.

So what to blog about today on a day such a this...well music of course. I love music and have a pretty eclectic taste. But this song evens me out and I go into a very relaxed mode...hoping it will do the same to you.


I believe the 1st time I heard it was on 500 Days of Summer but I'm not sure. (FYI-Really liked that movie)

But then last night I heard it again on a Rhapsody commercial when the guy said "This reminds me of the song"...and it really did.

I love how music can change your mood, take you back in time, or just get your party started.

So for the lackluster posts lately, I promise I'll get better.

And here she is... I am addicted to television and my DVR is probably one of my top 5 favorite things in this world. It became all too apparent on Monday night when I had to hurry inside from doing yard work to ensure that the DVR would record all the new Monday night line up...Hello How I Met Your Mother started...


Only to realize that with Monday Night Football (Go Colts!!) I was going to have to delete my pre scheduled recording of Gossip Girl and have to make some additional choices about what was more important to me (or Mr. Jetplane in certain cases).


I know I have a television addiction and I almost refuse to watch 'new' shows for fear of liking them and then having to make time to watch them... like Eastwick and Modern Family...I watched them both...Wednesdays aren't that big of TV night, except for Top Chef.

I know I can't be the only one suffering from this... Thursdays are going to be difficult as well... Grey's!?!


Anyway, I'm not the only one in the house that loves TV, Mr. Jetplane does as well. So much so that he purchased a new television to fill in the gigantic hole above the fireplace in our new house for the downstairs living area. I'll admit I HATE this hole...I feel like these holes are shrines to televisions. And I'm all for loving my television but I don't need it to honored like a Buddha or something...That being said our new TV will fill it up so it won't look so weird. Right now we have our television from our bedroom in it.


Mr Jetplane is so excited about this new flat screen television...you'd think it was a new puppy. Its supposed to be delivered on Friday and he literally won't shut up about it. Sometimes I feel like his loves go in this order... Charlie, his big screen TV, his truck, and then Me... I know I know... I at least come before his TV... But he does love that dog something fierce...


Happy Thursday all... I promise to try to post some house pictures later tonight or tomorrow...

There I said it, I'm really disappointed in the season finale of True Blood. Why you ask?

****Spoilers AHEAD***** And discussion of book details****

1. Maryann - I hated her character, she was a waste of shape, and her death... ummm she should have sensed it was Sam (1st off) and she shouldn't have been killed that easily. I get she is at her weakest during the ceremony, but still come on...

2. Bill - I am beyond annoyed with him. And I am really not liking the deviation from the book.

3. Eggs - another character I did not like. I'm glad they killed him off but seriously... Jason...come on (and one other thing, if Sookie isn't all 'human', neither is Jason, he shouldn't have been taken over by Maryann)

4. Eric... more Eric please...

So, I won't be a total Debbie Downer there were a couple of things I liked about the finale.

1. The Queen didn't suck as bad as last episode. ERW was much better. Thank God.

2. Sookie was great in the whole episode. However, if Maryann has been around forever she should have met someone or something like Sookie before. Not the mind reading but the other thing...

3. Read that Season 3 will follow the third book... bring on Alcide, Debbie Pelt, and the King of MS... Club Dead... yeah!

So who kidnapped Bill? Eric? I think that's too easy... I hope it follows the book...

Can someone please explain to me the interest in taking naked pictures of yourself? Especially when you are a teenager and a 'famous' teenager at that?

I also don't get the sexy looks that teenagers (including Miley) give the camera and then post these ridiculous pictures. I've seen my cousin's facebook page, she's 17...I don't get it.

But HEY!!! Miss High School Musical girl... this one's for you... seriously girl this is the 2nd time in under a year...keep your damn clothes on, or at least don't take pictures of yourself...




HomeGirl got called out! Too freaking funny!! Hey kids...and adults for that matter... don't email people pictures of yourself naked...nothing good could ever come from that.

Crazy Story- At my previous job we fired a guy that I supervised. I wanted him gone for months but my boss wouldn't fire him. Finally he did some very bad things and we got his ass canned. But whatever... I ended up having access to his inbox so I could monitor incoming emails from clients since he wasn't working with us any longer. I had to go through his inbox to ensure that he had followed up with all his work since he was doing a poor job in his day to day activity.

Guess what I found on his computer.... Emails from some girl who sent him naked pictures of herself. And guess what this scumbag had done.. He emailed those pictures to some of the other guys at work...I was completely and utterly disgusted. I'm so glad we was finally fired...

Take that as a warning girls...send naked pics of yourself...they take on a life of their own and guys will send them to other people... whether your famous now or not...

More Eric in a tank top...

Can we all just stop and pause for a moment and appreciate how freaking awesome True Blood was last night? I mean...seriously did that or did it not kick some ass last night? That was some serious action packed in that 1 hour show.

Eric looked incredibly hot the whole episode, didn't he? He smiled... how hot was that? And they better make this love triangle happen. I need more Eric? Who's with me?

Jason Stackhouse! You were a true hero... and hilarious too.

If there is anything to know about me, besides being short, sassy, and having an addiction to shopping, it is that a have a love for television. I always have and I always will. Its sad when one of the best things in my life is my DVR. What the hell did we do without those things?


I am beyond excited that Mad Men is coming back August 16th. I am freaking obsessed with this show, the drama, the fashion, and the hot men.

Update: I believe I have located a substitute for the Target desk but I will not be discussing it until it is bought and delivered. The Target desk can only be purchased online, it is not at the stores. So I can't go to the stores the days of delivery. Target itself is out of stock of both the white and black options of the desk.
