What I learned from Halloween 2010

Well yesterday was Halloween for those of you that live under a rock and weren't aware of this. Yesterday I learned a couple of things that I thought I would share with you.

1. Halloween isn't as much fun without Mr. Jetplane. He's in Vegas for work. Yes I know.

2. Lil boys still love being superheros. I'm worried the masks they are selling with the costumes make it hard for them to see. I had 3 lil boys trip on my porch.

3. Some kids are straight up RUDE. If they didn't say "Trick or Treat" I would kindly say, "Do I get a Trick or Treat?" I also gave a friendly shout, "You're Welcome!!" to a few when they walked away.

4. Just because your lil sweetie pie daughter wants to dress up like a tramp, doesn't mean you should let her.....ummm k.

5. I love when parents dress up with their kids, except when those parents decide to wear scary clown masks like they are from the movie "It". Seriously people...I still have nightmares from watching that movie when I was a kid.

6. If the lights are off that means don't come knock on my door. Its 9pm people, you and your 7 kids (most of which looked under 6 yrs old) do not need to be out running the streets at 9pm.

7. You don't need to ring my doorbell 3 times, I'm not deaf and hear it on the 1st ring.

8. If you can drive yourself, you're too old to be trick or treating.

Wow...did I just become a old bittie....

I hope everyone had a great Halloween.

Update: Its come to my attention that I may have offended hearing impaired people by my "I'm not deaf" comment. If so, I hope you would understand that was not my intention. I also understand lil ones like to ring the doorbell, its the "slightly bigger" kids that seemed to be the problem.

Residing in a Construction Zone

Casa de Jetplane is in various states of disrepair or repair depending on how you look at it. Its exciting but its annoying at the same time. We hope to be getting gloriously dark, hand-strapped hard woods throughout the main living areas installed next week. But before that could happen we had to pull up the 20+ yr old thick-as-hell carpet, carpet pad, tack strips, and countless staples. Don't even get me started on the stairs leading to the loft...
So needless to say, we've been walking on backer board for about 2 weeks and everyone is annoyed, including the dogs. So much so, that they have agreed to lay together in the living room, which rarely happens...
Last night we began tackling the installation of the 1/4" plywood and I got to try to the air compressor staple gun that shoots 1" long staples. UMMMM....it was awesome and I loved it. So much more fun the job that Mr had, measures and cutting all the wood to fit...boo.
But as with any home improvement tasks, us Jetplanes prefer to stay hydrated with adult beverages. Guess who's is who?

Doesn't everyone drink lil cheap champagne and a Tall Boy of Coors Light while installing plywood...no just us? Oh well... We're saving ourselves over $2,000 by doing this ourselves, that deserves a drink, right?

Wish us luck, we're installing the kitchen, living room, and hallway tonight and this weekend....

On the rocks please...

I am on the lookout for an awesome bar cart or a cabinet, table, etc. that can easily be used as a bar cart. Perhaps it is well known that the Jetplanes like to partake in adult beverages, right now I'm extremely partial to 3 Olives Cherry Vodka. I also enjoy gin and tonics, wine, champagne, and the occasional light beer...but enough about me and my drinking habits.

I want a bar cart and I know exactly where I want it to go in the family room. To my total surprise, Mr. Jetplane is on board for this one. He thinks a lot of my ideas are crazy...I mean really crazy. But luckily I can show him 4 or 5 pictures of what I'm talking about and he now agrees I might not have lost my mind.
Bring on the drinks.... and any suggestions you may have for bar carts... I'm looking for cheap option people, putting in new hardwoods is expensive.

Image 1 from Lonny, no longer have info for image 2 or 3. If you do, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.

Update on Casa de Jetplane #2

We received a counter offer at the price we were expecting and submitted our 'final' offer last night around 9pm Eastern time. Our agent thinks they are going to accept it.... Do you want to know the honest to goodness first thing out of my mouth with Mr. Jetplane told me that...

"Oh Sh!t!"

Yeah! This is really happening, we're buying a 2nd house. In the past year we will moved twice, bought 2 houses, become a landlord, and will experience our 1st deployment.

We can 'do this'. So please don't worry about our financial situation. We're currently deciding between a 15 or 30 yr mortgage.

We were lucky 1st time home buyers that secured the tax credit of $8,000 last year, what my hubby's likes to call "Free Obama Money" and that's being used as a chunk of the down payment. If we would have stayed in NC we would have finished the other side of our attic for my office and a bathroom with that money.

So needless to say the stress level is high and I may have spoke to God at length last night laying in bed. Here's to winning big in Vegas....right?

Hello...Hello...Hello...

There you are...sorry I am been an MIA blogger the past couple of weeks, that was not my intention.

But it also wasn't my intention getting sick either. Today's post, unfortunately will be a random, I mean REAL random.

1. While sick I visited the Flight Doc on base. My doctor was quite a hottie and a former fighter pilot...it is not fun to talk about your bodily functions with a cute, young doctor, while dressed like homeless person with dirty hair, no makeup, and then realizing you aren't even wearing a bra...oh yeah...nice. Yes I left the house without a bra on, but in my defense, I was really sick and had on 2 shirts, a hoodie, yoga pants, a scarf, coat, and a hat...yeah homegirl was freezing her bootie off.

2. In about 30 days we will find out where we are moving to. The arrow is pointing to Idaho. Cue all the jealous now... I spent last night looking at houses for sale in Idaho.

3. I'm happy to report that I gave up online shopping for Lent and I haven't caved yet!!

4. This is currently on repeat on my computer and in my head....

5. The Jetplanes are going to a semi formal on Saturday. I'm recycling a black cocktail dress and sporting my Blue Bow Knock off Valentino shoes. Our squadron color is blue and I'm suppose to integrate that into my outfit. I'm worried I might not be dressed up enough, but oh well.

6. Also I've joined Formspring.me. You can ask me anything and everything you ever wanted...and do it anonymously if you so wish....

Totally Random Tuesday...

Disclaimer: This post is totally and absolutely random...you have been warned.

1. I made Stuffed Shells yesterday (while working..good thing about working from home). Here is a picture of the finished product. Mr loves them, hopefully the young A1C's family I made them for love them too. She just had a baby that was 6 weeks earlier. The recipe can be found here. This time I did use Reduced Fat Chive and Onion Cream Cheese. I thought it tasted the same.

2. Work, while kicking my booty is going surprisingly well so far for the year. I'm 2 projects above my goal for January and I still have a couple of days to get my number higher.

3. We have found out if we stay in NC, Mr will most likely be deploying in September...yeah holy crap. I might actually be rooting for Idaho. He will then deploy in the Winter/Spring of 2011.

4. We have more new neighbors. The houses in our subdivision are filling up fast...yeah!! And these neighbors saw Charlie last night and weren't scared...good thing.

5. I'm rocking out to this, this morning... It just puts me in the best mood...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Seriously People...he's a pug

So we had noticed before Christmas that the For Sale sign on the house next door had been removed. Then during the time between Christmas and New Year we saw a car parked there, but NEVER saw people. Well yesterday all that changed when we noticed a young couple and their child moving in.

Mr. Jetplane was in the front yard playing catch with both of the dogs and when he saw them, he decided to put Charlie up (since well he's a big ass dog, and some people are scared of him) and I see Milo take off next door to say hi. He runs up on the porch and is greeted with full on screams of terror...by all 3 of them...

The little boy (and I mean probably atleast 6 yrs old) screams at the top of his lungs and is bawling hysterically. I run over and grab Milo assure them that he's not dangerous, he won't bite, and he just wanted to meet you all. He's very friendly and really just wanted to play with you.

The mother said.."I thought he wanted to run into our house.."

To that I replied, "Well to be completely honest, he probably did want to. He doesn't know a stranger and would be happy to run in and sit on the couch with you and watch tv. He did do that to our old neighbors before."

So Mr. Jetplane ran over once he heard the screams, we introduced ourselves, re-assured them about 50x Milo was safe, and I waited till they could bring the boy out of hiding from the house so he could meet Milo.

We walked back to our house and Mr. Jetplane said, "Can't believe that lil boy was scared of Milo." I said, "Oh no honey... ALL 3 we're freaking scared to DEATH of Milo. Just wait to they see Charlie!"

Now I understand that a lot of people confuse Milo's breathing for growling so they are concerned, but seriously people, when you scream and jump at a dog, they either get excited or nervous which makes the situation even worse. Its pretty obvious these people have never had a dog or been around dogs before...ugh...

Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

When the cat's away...

So Mr. Jetplane left early yesterday morning for Illinois. He hasn't been home since last year. I unfortunately couldn't go with him for the week because my recent 2 weeks off to be with my mother.
So needless to say I miss him... I miss him for all the standard reasons...its lonely in bed at night, I like someone there that can reach top shelf of cabinets, someone to unload the dishwasher, take out the trash, pick up the dog poop in the yard...you know the usual.

But its always nice to get a little alone time, don't you agree?? That's when your Secret Single Behavior comes out...

What's mine... well some of it is not all that exciting

1. I make all the food that Mr. Jetplane hates like Tuna Casserole (which I LOVE)

2. I will watch endless hours of Bravo and MTV and lay on the couch...ALOT

3. I will eat junk food...Mr. Jetplane prefers we don't have junk in the house

4. I will sleep on Mr. Jetplane's side of the bed

5. I will let Milo sleep with me in the bed (like the good ol days)

6. I may even let Charlie lay on the bed

7. I will go shopping and buy home decor items that Mr Jetplane thinks we don't need and will tell him we already had those.

8. I will go shopping and purchase wallpaper for the master bathroom and then talk him into putting it up when he gets back.

9. I will take long baths and blare music throughout the house. 10. I will drink copious amounts of champagne...out of red wine glasses.

11. I will work on crafting projects that Mr thinks are crazy (that's until he sees them all done).
What do you plan on doing when your significant other is MIA for a few days...

Latest Inspirations

First things first...sorry I have been a bad blogger lately. I don't really have much of an excuse. I don't feel like I have all that much to say...well that has any entertainment value... I promise I'll try to be better...I'll try.

That being said I wanted to show you a couple of things that have inspired me lately. I saw this piece of art on a blog about a month or so ago, I apologize I cannot figure out which home decor blog it was, so I deeply apologize. (if you know, please tell me) It appears to be felt pieces stitched together. I am been day dreaming about doing something simliar for weeks now. I hope to do some shopping this week to get supplies.

Secondly this was posted on Twig & Thistle earlier this month. I am thinking about doing something similar to give as gifts to our local (couples) friends. I have some great twine that I have been wanting to use and I will create holiday tags for them. Can't wait!! I know Mr. Jetplane will think I'm an idiot but oh well.

Have you all started thinking about Holiday cards??? I've been scouring the internet for cards... I want to use a picture from our family shoot this past spring with the dogs...

Decisions...Decisions... I like a lot of the cards on http://www.tinyprints.com/ and http://www.minted.com/. For cheaper options don't forget to look at Snapfish and Vistaprint. They have some great options for your as well that are cheaper.

I created and purchased our wedding rehearsal invites and Thank You cards from Snapfish. I used a photo and created postcards...they were nice quality and we received alot of positive feedback. You never have to spend a lot of money to create and send something to family and friends.
Enjoy the rest of your week...and look forward to Pug Friday tomorrow!!

I Think Someone Found Out About the Crow...

And they aren't happy....
Just take a look at our backyard!Scary and freaky huh? They've been traveling in a large group around our neighborhood since yesterday morning.
But that's nothing, last week while driving home on a country highway road (since we live in BFE) with a cotton field on one side and a corn field on the other, I saw a huge, HUGE black mess all over the road. I looked like black tar spilled all cover the road and into the fields. As I got closer it was literally hundreds upon hundreds of black birds. I slowed down and eased through them and they slowly all moved in a ripple affect out of the way. Its was really weird. I was totally creeped out.

Random Weekend Ramblings

1. Friday we attended a Brief at the Squadron to discuss what will be our lives after Mr. Jetplane completes flight school. We can stay here, go to England, or go to Idaho. We learned pro's and con's to all of the bases - QOL (Quality of Life), Geography, Flying, Deployment cycle, etc. Mr. Jetplane will get to rank his choices - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. His grades and the needs of the AF will make the decision. We'll know next spring where we are off to and then we'll decide if we're ready to start trying to have a baby or not.

2. Here are some samples of paint colors we've selected for the kitchen. I have paint swatches on a couple spots in the kitchen. I'll post one next to the kitchen cabinets later this week. I prefer the middle. The colors are Limeade, California Roll, and Green Apple.

3. This weekend we took the dogs to the vet to get their shots, got lost in the middle of nowhere because my GPS doesn't even know where we are when we're at our house (since we live in BFE)...just to find out that Mr. (my navigator in life and in the jet) took us the most round about way. We showed up 20 minutes late...FYI its only 7 miles away from the house.

4. We went and saw Couples Retreat on Saturday. It was funny...it wasn't OMG I'm going to throw up because I can't stop laughing funny...but it was funny. Now that we're married you start to think about things differently so the movie touched a cord with us. And we'll always go to Applebee's together... (topic from movie)

5. Out to the movie I sported my new Warriors In Pink scarf I blogged about early this month. *I might be giving one away on this lil blog later this week*6. The Jetplanes took their first time to Sam's Club together this weekend. We bought Gatorade, Garlic Bread, Lunch Meat, Hand Soap, Protein Drinks (Mr.), Granola Bars, Fruit, etc. On the way home Mr Jetplane turns to me and asks... "What happened to us?" Ha ha.

7. Sunday I had to return things to Target and TJMaxx. FYI- my TJMaxx isn't a Home Goods...yes please feel sorry for me. I stopped at JCP for their Friends and Family Sale. I haven't shopped inside a JCP in years. I did my office desk online, but that doesn't count. I have been looking for blue/navy pillows for our living room. JCP was having buy 1 pillow for full price and get the other for 88 cents. Plus I had 20% off coupon. The striped pillow is normally $40 and the navy velvet pillow $25. I got them both for under $30. Success!! 8. The parental units are coming tomorrow. I have to pick them up from the Raleigh airport tomorrow evening...

Happy Monday. I have a busy day in the office today thru Wednesday, I'm taking Thursday and Friday off to spend with the parents. Have a great week.

The Gallery Wall is Up

I've been day dreaming about this for quite some time. I love photographs and I especially love the pictures I have recently received from my mother. They are black and white pictures of my grandmother when she was in grade school, her confirmation, and wedding to my grandfather. I also got a picture of my great grandparents wedding day with my great aunt and uncle as their maid of honor and best man. These pictures mean the WORLD to me and I am amazed at just how much my grandmother, mother, and I look alike.

I purchased all the frames from Walmart, Target, and Kmart. All were sale and came with mats. Mr. Jetplane helped a great deal in the hanging of all the pictures...with only minimal complaining.

PB Style on a PBR budget

I, like a lot of people, fell in love with this...

But unfortunately the Jetplanes are not made out of money and I adamantly refuse to spend a lot of money on seasonal decor. Therefore I only buy these items on sale or even better at the end of the season.

I honestly don't even want to go into thinking about how much that look would cost....its ridiculous, but it is awesome... Don't worry if you can afford it...I'm not hating the player...just the game.

So what did lil Mrs. Jetplane do? Well so glad you asked...

First of all I don't have that much space to work with. So I needed to condense the look. The pumpkins are fake ones that I bought from Michael's last year for seriously 80% off. I thought about painting the them creme last year, even bought the paint but got lazy and didn't do it.

The wicker pumpkins are from Michael's regularly $24.99 and I purchase them on sale for $19.99/pc. I purchased the crows, leaves, and straw from Michael's, as well, all for 50% off. Crows were $2.49/pc, leaves $2.99, and straw $5.99.

The lanterns were purchased from Walmart in the Lawn and Garden department. They were regularly $25.00/pc and I bought them for $10.00/pc. I placed some of the leaves in them and then used a battery operated votive in each lantern.

The black metal plant stand, I have had forever. I believe I bought it at Lowes in Lawn and Garden. I have used it in everyone of my past apartments and houses on the balcony or porch as a table. I bought it for around $10 its metal and has held up for 7 years now.

The wreath was purchased at Big Lots last fall for under $10.00.

Yesterday I told Mr. Jetplane that I was going to give our house the PB look for around 10% of the cost. He said, "Great Honey!! What's PB?"

Oh boy...you would think he would have learned by know. He likes the look except he thinks the crows are creepy. I think that's why I like them. They had owls too, but they were alittle more expensive, and I'm a tight ass, so they didn't get purchased. Maybe if they go on 75-80% off, I'll pick up an owl or two and some of the larger crows.

So there you go, Casa de Jetplane Fall outdoor decor. I have more home improvement posts coming this week and potentially a giveaway... stay tuned.

What Time is It??

Well if you really need to know, you'd be in luck if you popped on into our kitchen and check out our newest addition....I don't exactly know why, but for the longest time I've wanted a large clock. My initial intention was for this to go in the living room but it doesn't work in there so I put in the kitchen. I love it and it is slowly growing on Mr. Jetplane.
Sorry my kitchen is messy right now. Unfortunately our kitchen is a little smaller than I would have liked, but luckily we have 2 nice sized pantries so a lot of my kitchen appliances are hidden away in the pantries.
Clock was purchased at Target for $39.99.
My dream vision for kitchen...
I would love an all white kitchen with gray marble counter tops but since these cabinets are brand new I just can't do that...and Mr. Jetplane will NOT participate in painting brand new cabinets. Plus this house is not our FOREVER home and we want to make it more desirable for future renters once we move.
I have some realistic visions floating around in my head that works with the dark cabinets...but I'm not ready to share just yet.
All in due time...

Mr. Jetplane's Man Cave in Progress

DISCLAIMER: This is Mr. Jetplane's domain. I'm allowing him almost complete rein on this area. But I am trying to get him to stay in some sort of cohesive look...it is still very much a work in progress.
Also - the floor is showing up a lot more read in these pictures than it does in real life.
Here is the view coming up the stairs from the kitchen. Its an extremely narrow staircase. So narrow that our furniture (the sectional we had that was to go up there) didn't fit. Mr. and I even spent one afternoon taking the legs off of it to try to get it up the stairs...but to no avail. Sold it to a friend of ours...he got quite a deal.
The light brown love seat is the only piece of furniture that Mr. Jetplane owned from our previous house in Pcola. He bought it without me being present. I hate it, but it fit upstairs so its up there and the dogs sleep on it when we're up stairs. Yes, its an expensive ass dog bed at this moment.
The large brown furniture is all reclining furniture... what is that you ask...How did you get reclining furniture up the narrow staircase if your sleek modern sectional wouldn't go up there... well did you know that if the reclining furniture is on a metal base it can be disassembled rather easily into multiple parts?
Well neither did we... We couldn't get the whole section they sold at the store but we did negotiate for 2 of the couches (2 seats each) and a recliner.
I really dislike reclining furniture but this stuff is extremely comfortable, it fit up the stairs, and Mr. Jetplane loves it. Marriage is all about compromise, right?
Here is what became of my dream of a window seat. Mr. needed a place to study for flight school and his current master classes he's taking. The jets hanging from the ceiling where given to him from his great uncle that past away last year. He made models and they are some of Mr.'s prized possessions. Little did his uncle know when he was making for those 20+ years ago that his great nephew would be flying in an F15E.
This view shows 2 doors, the main one leads to the other side of the attic which is currently being used for storage. We hope to eventually (if we end up staying here for 3 years) to put in a bathroom, storage area, and bedroom which my office would go into. The other door on the left side is the entry into the bonus room.

Here is a better view of the furniture and Milo. The rug is from Lowe's for around $100. Its 8x12 and filled up the space nicely. We still need a table but its good for now.

Here's Mr. Jetplane other love his 55" television. Note the ceramic giraffe..that is his, its name is George and it has to come everywhere with us...unfortunately I'm not joking. The plant was a gift from Mr. Jetplane's family for my grandmother's funeral earlier this year. We're trying to keep it alive..it didn't fair very well during the move in my car.

Right now the walls have some sport and aviation pictures being displayed. The 'look' I think I've gotten him to go with will be similar to a squadron ready room.
We would like to put a bar in the other side behind the couches and an air hockey table. He wanted a pool table, but I've talked him out of that. Plus one of our friends bought a house down the street and they have a pool table in their bonus room, so he's good. The space is very large and he's really excited about the room.
Any ideas? I'm more than happy to hear them.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Jetplane and I have a problem...

And here she is... I am addicted to television and my DVR is probably one of my top 5 favorite things in this world. It became all too apparent on Monday night when I had to hurry inside from doing yard work to ensure that the DVR would record all the new Monday night line up...Hello How I Met Your Mother started...

Only to realize that with Monday Night Football (Go Colts!!) I was going to have to delete my pre scheduled recording of Gossip Girl and have to make some additional choices about what was more important to me (or Mr. Jetplane in certain cases).

I know I have a television addiction and I almost refuse to watch 'new' shows for fear of liking them and then having to make time to watch them... like Eastwick and Modern Family...I watched them both...Wednesdays aren't that big of TV night, except for Top Chef.

I know I can't be the only one suffering from this... Thursdays are going to be difficult as well... Grey's!?!

Anyway, I'm not the only one in the house that loves TV, Mr. Jetplane does as well. So much so that he purchased a new television to fill in the gigantic hole above the fireplace in our new house for the downstairs living area. I'll admit I HATE this hole...I feel like these holes are shrines to televisions. And I'm all for loving my television but I don't need it to honored like a Buddha or something...That being said our new TV will fill it up so it won't look so weird. Right now we have our television from our bedroom in it.

Mr Jetplane is so excited about this new flat screen television...you'd think it was a new puppy. Its supposed to be delivered on Friday and he literally won't shut up about it. Sometimes I feel like his loves go in this order... Charlie, his big screen TV, his truck, and then Me... I know I know... I at least come before his TV... But he does love that dog something fierce...

Happy Thursday all... I promise to try to post some house pictures later tonight or tomorrow...

Casa de Jetplane in the makin'

So first off, thank you all for your support during my recent 'I suck at this' post about our work on our first home. I greatly appreciate it.

I appreciated it even more when I got a comment from Mrs. Limestone, who is a HUGE inspiration to me, as seen in my home office decor.

We all have trials and tribulations dealing with decorating our homes. Trying to determine what our style is and how to mold that into our partner's style, current home furnishings, lifestyle, budget, pets, kids, etc. etc. etc. Its always good to feel you are not alone in that battle.

A lot has been happening at the Jetplanes' household and I'm pretty excited to give you some details later this week with pictures. But just a lil taste of what's to come...

1. Deck is stained
2. Garage is organized and sealed the floor
3. New Furniture is purchased and arrived
4. Front Yard is almost completed

I think that's pretty good for living here under a month so far, don't you?

Side note: We see this house, while a first house for us, as an investment and will be a future rental property when we get stationed somewhere else. All decisions made (excluding painting my office turquoise) are to be cost effective, value adding, and easily maintainable for future renters.
Can't wait to give you all a peek...

Pug Friday-Are you ready for some football?

Last Sunday was the start of the NFL football season and that's a BIG deal at the Jetplanes household. We are HUGE Colts fans. Mr. Jetplane also likes the Bears and is still a closet 49ers fan.

Being the wonderful wife I am, I got he NFL Ticket on Direct TV.

And thanks for all your kind words about the home improvement and meeting new people post, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll post more about that later. The dinner was a success...

Home Improvement Blues...

Do you ever watch home improvement shows, read home decorating blogs, obsess over decorating magazines and then feel like a total loser?

Well I do. I feel like full of ambition and ideas...but suck on the follow through. Anyone else?

I feel like I'm stuck in the middle of no where and can't find the pieces that I want. And the stores I want to go to (antique stores) close early.

I love all white rooms but... its not practical for our lifestyle and I adore dark wood.

I also have to do EVERYTHING on the cheap.

I'm a thrifty shopper and a searcher but sometimes I feel like I'm so impatience that I make purchases and then get them home and I'm like.... does this go? I don't know?

I feel like my whole house is blue or has blue accents? Anyone else?

I want navy, white, and green pillows for my living room and can't find them anywhere!

My gray living room will not be happening... it may be transitioned into a gray master bedroom.

My window seat up in the bonus room is no longer... Mr. Jetplane put a desk there for his studying.
I also have a husband that looks at me like I'm an idiot when I say... "Let's paint stripes in the guest bathroom!"
Anyone else is the same boat? Anyone else day dream about someone from HGTV coming to your house and decorating it for you?

Does Anyone Else Hear That Loud SUCKING Noise???

Yeah? That's my hard earned money being sucked out of my bank account... Don't get me wrong I love our new home (that we own). I love picking out paint colors, drapes, rugs, etc. I love deciding where the mirror should go, how to arrange my pantry, and sleep in our brand new room.

But as much as I love to shop and spend money... I hate to spend money... and spend money is what we've been doing... a lot of.

1. Buying all new blinds for the house. It was new and had none.
2. Buying lawn stuff... the yard was a little sad and it costs a lot to get all the crap we needed for it.
3. Buying new curtain rods. We have several windows that are much larger than our previous houses. Which also led to some new curtains...
4. New furniture... we assumed we'd be buying furniture for the downstairs living room since our sectional would go upstairs in our new bonus room. Ha Ha! Sectional won't fit up the stairs. Luckily we sold it to a friend (for quite a deal for him). We have purchased new furniture for downstairs and upstairs. Yeah!!! Did that sucking noise just get alot louder all of a sudden??
5. Food... having to buy all new condiments, oils, etc. You wouldn't think would be a big deal, but it seriously adds up.
6. Garage crap... Mr. needed to build a work bench, have shelving, and is now coating the garage floor...
