Today is...

The start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As some of you know it has touched my family twice, first my maternal grandmother and last year my mother. Unfornately my grandmother passed away while I was in high school but, I'm happy to say that my mother is now cancer free. She will be having her reconstructive surgery in November.

I hope to share important information about bresat cancer and a little more about our story over the next month.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma and mom. My grandma had breast cancer twice and finally had them removed. Heh, and as luck as it, my mom is currently being tested for "something that's not quite right," so we'll see what happens there. I love that there's so much emphasis on Breast Cancer Awareness. Go pink!

Looking forward to hearing your story. My paternal grandmother has breast cancer and my mother lost a very good friend to it a few years ago. Only makes you hold your loved ones coser.

Glad to hear your mom is okay. My mom's mother had breast cancer also but she is doing well now. Awareness and screening is so important.

What a blessing that your mother is doing so well!

We have been touched as well; Mr. Mag's grandmother is a survivor, and my own mother is high-risk and has had many scares. It is a very real fear for us when we consider how these risk factors will affect our future and any future children we may have. So terrifying!

Thank you for sharing your story.

Cheers!
