Its You & Me...

Well folks here she is...

My Kitchen Aid Mixer that I HAD TO HAVE during the registry time. My mom bought it for me prior to the wedding for a shower gift. I love it, its my favorite color. I love to cook but I'm not the best baker, which is even funnier but since I'm anon I won't go into that...

This is my 2010 Resolution #7. See list below...

So its You and Me, Ms. Thang... this year we're going to tangle. We're gonna mix sh!t, as Ms. Kate has so eloquently put it before. Its gonna happen. I've had you since Spring 2008...I think its about time I tried you out.

Pray for me... so far I'm the lady that buys cookie dough in the pre-cut squares or buys the bags of blueberry muffin mix where you just add water...

I'm not a great baker either... but I've found that I've gotten a lot better since busting out my mixer! I think the constant spinning makes whatever your mixing come out more consistently. Maybe it's air circulation?

Whatever it is, it works!

Enjoy! I love my mixer, you can use it for so much more than baking!

Start with PW best chocolate sheet cake ever. Easy and to die for. Good Luck, love the color.

I love the color! It's so cute. :) You'll do great and hopefully might convince me that one day too I can mix shit just like you and Kate!

You can totally do this!! The best thing to remember about baking is that measuring is KEY. NEVER EVER guesstimate. Annie's Eats blog is wonderful as are any of the King Arthur flour cookbooks!

Enjoy!!!!!!!

You can do it! And, AEOT is right, measure everything! It's not like cooking. Cake batters are a great way to start using this wonderful machine. Good Luck!

How great is that?!!!

I swear by my KitchenAid and actually so does my husband. We are in lust with the 90th anniversary edition.

I got mine for Christmas 05, and didn't use it until well into 07! But love it! I'm a great cake baker, but horrible cookie maker... bizarre. Start small, and work your way up. Best of luck!

Once you use it and see the power of it, you won't want to NOT use it!

Nick's family bought us the apple green KitchenAid mixer as a wedding gift. I was thrilled, but never really had the chance to use it until we settled in Vegas.

I have always loved baking and I cranked out 4 types of cookies this holiday for Nick and I (and to give to friends'). Just follow the recipe and don't rush! You'll be fine. Pioneer Woman is awesome because of the step-by-step photos. Those come in so handy for cooking, which I am not bad at, but not good either!

Ugh, I LOVE my KitchenAid mixer so much. I find myself wanting to bake something just to use it :)
I hope you find as much joy in yours as I did in mine!

I use my KitchenAid mixer ALL the time.

Once you get comfortable with it; you'll love it too.

And I agree with AEOT. Measure, measure, measure. :-)
