Fellow Travelers
What's Happening....

Here's where I need your help...
As some may know, Mr. Jetplane bought me a nice, new camera for my birthday this year. I've started trying to learn this new fangled contraption and I'm really enjoying it. This lil man got plenty of work in over our recent homecomings and I have since volunteered to be the squadron photographer for all (or most) of the events that we host/attend.
So here's where you come in...what else do I need...what do you suggest...
I have a Canon Rebel T1i EOS.
Christmas is coming up and I plan on asking for things associated with the camera. I need editing software - what software is the best (not the most expensive). I need a light thingy (yes that's technical for you) that attaches to the top of the camera. What other lens do you suggest?
Apologies if I sound like a total idiot...but I kinda am when it comes to all this. I have been looking up things online but I thought I would ask for guidance from the all-knowing Internet. I know there are plenty of budding photographers out there...can you help a sista out :)
Thank you!
UPDATE: Thank you for the help. I should say that I do have the EFS 18-55 lens. I thought that came with my camera standard, but I guess I am wrong.
On The Move... Again
Lesson #1
Learn to Deal
Sure you can bitch and moan, get really pissed, yell at your husband, etc. etc. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter, you nor he can change it.. 2 sayings that are very common in our household... "It is what it is" and "The needs of the military supersede your own needs"
No truer statements in my book. But it isn't all bad... I might bitch about it, but its doable and it is what you make of it...
Well with all that being said, WE'RE MOVING ON TUESDAY! We close on our house a week from today. And this girl could not move without sending out a moving announcement and the moving announcement has to have a picture of our children (aka our dogs).
The announcements are going in the mail tonight... So for those of you that will be getting one... this is a taste of what's come. Don't spill the beans to anyone else.
The names and addresses have been changed to protect the innocent...i.e. ME.
(Milo is gonna drive, Charlie is gonna hold the map...cross your fingers we get there!)
Thank you to Nina for all help and special thanks to Mrs. Newlywed for helping me be creative and witty, when it felt very hard to come by.
Nina is very easy to work with and does a fabulous job, so if you're in the market for a holiday card, moving announcement, etc... check her out.
Disclaimer: I was not compensated for the shout out!!

Sexy Time...
- Post a pic (only IF you dare)
- Pass it on to 5 lovely bloggers

As promised... Charlie Loving...
Charlie is an American Bulldog and is almost 2 years old. Mr. Jetplane asked me if we could get him less than a week after he proposed.
I never wanted a big dog, but how can a girl say no after she's been proposed to...
Charlie is about 100lbs and is pretty sure that he is a lap dog. He is convinced that he and Milo are the same size.
Charlie loves his daddy, Mr. Jetplane, more than anything in the whole world. And nothing makes him happier than playing with his dad.

He is quite a handful but I have grown to love that big ol goofy dog.

Hope this post could brighten your weekend alittle bit.... Hope you all have enjoyed the Jetplanes family photo shoot pics. Once again, they are all from Oeil Photography.Pug Friday... Milo Milo Milo

And keep voting for your favorite pug.... The voting ends May 10th... Keep Voting...

For those that wanted to know... The dress is from Old Navy, yellow bag from JCrew, and shoes are Nicole Miller bought from DSW about 4 years ago.
Get ready for some Charlie loving next...

Jetplane Loving Round 1
These lovely photos were taken by Michelle at Oeil Photography
We have been lucky enough to work with her on our engagement pics as well as my boudoir pics. She is a fellow mil wife and currently stationed in Jacksonville, FL. She travels back and forth to Pcola for shoots, so if you're in the Pcola and/or Jacksonville area, check her out, you won't be disappointed. She will travel for weddings.
This first section of pictures are mainly of the Jetplanes. Mr. Jetplane thinks we have enough pictures of yourselves, I think we can NEVER have too many pictures of us.
All the pics were taken on NAS Pcola. Since we are getting ready to move to NC later this summer, I wanted to pics taken here.

Yes, we had a family shoot with our doggies, Milo and Charlie. We don't have any real kids yet, and these lil (or big) guys mean the world to us.
The purpose of the pictures were for memories, but also these pictures will be used for most 2009-10 cards, Mother's Day gifts, etc. We'll need moving announcements, Christmas cards, and V-day for next year. (which maybe Ms. Nina can help me again with???)
Yeah here's my shout out to JCrew with my bright yellow bag.Sneak Peek - Part 3

Back home...
I can't wait for them all... Just a little taste...
Say hello to Charlie...
Jetplane Family Time...
But most importantly the whole family is having a photoshoot this weekend. We have talked about wanting professional pictures of our babies and I love to get them on the beach. And since we are moving at the end of August, who knows if and when we'll live near a beach again.
I intend to use these pictures for our Christmas cards and Moving Announcements. Also, I would love to give them away for our Mother's Day gifts.
The lovely, talented, fellow mil-wife Michelle with Oeil Photography will be meeting us this weekend. I had a talk with the boys last night during our after dinner walk. I let them know to start practicing their posts, this is going to be their big break to get into modeling.
I think I caught Charlie this morning checking himself out in the full length mirror in the bedroom. The lovely Michelle took our engagement pictures and my boudoir shoots.

I'm very excited... now I need to figure out what we're going to wear. Pray for good weather, I think its suppose to be raining on and off all weekend.
Happy Hump Day
XOXO
TGIF Y'All
First things first, thanks for the kind words about missing my hubby. And yes, the picture is of us. The lovely Michelle at Oeil Photography took our engagement pics around P'cola. Please check out her work. She is a fellow mil wife and currently living in Jacksonville.
But most importantly it is Friday, I had to give you your dose of Pug.Happy Holidays <3 The Jetplanes

I wanted to use black envelopes, so I needed to lighten them up. I doubt our family and friends are receiving black Christmas cards from anyone else. They are different, but I adore them.
