Hello...Hello...Hello...

There you are...sorry I am been an MIA blogger the past couple of weeks, that was not my intention.

But it also wasn't my intention getting sick either. Today's post, unfortunately will be a random, I mean REAL random.

1. While sick I visited the Flight Doc on base. My doctor was quite a hottie and a former fighter pilot...it is not fun to talk about your bodily functions with a cute, young doctor, while dressed like homeless person with dirty hair, no makeup, and then realizing you aren't even wearing a bra...oh yeah...nice. Yes I left the house without a bra on, but in my defense, I was really sick and had on 2 shirts, a hoodie, yoga pants, a scarf, coat, and a hat...yeah homegirl was freezing her bootie off.

2. In about 30 days we will find out where we are moving to. The arrow is pointing to Idaho. Cue all the jealous now... I spent last night looking at houses for sale in Idaho.

3. I'm happy to report that I gave up online shopping for Lent and I haven't caved yet!!

4. This is currently on repeat on my computer and in my head....

5. The Jetplanes are going to a semi formal on Saturday. I'm recycling a black cocktail dress and sporting my Blue Bow Knock off Valentino shoes. Our squadron color is blue and I'm suppose to integrate that into my outfit. I'm worried I might not be dressed up enough, but oh well.

6. Also I've joined Formspring.me. You can ask me anything and everything you ever wanted...and do it anonymously if you so wish....

Discount Diva

Hello all! First things first... My giveaway ends tonight! Get in while you still can. I'll reveal the winner this weekend.

Now back to regularly scheduled programming....I have recently made some very cute (if I do say so myself) purchases at Tar-jay... my mecca of home goods and needed closet additions... since we've moved, the nearest real mall is 45 minutes away, its as close as I'm getting.

So what have I bought you ask.... well first off, these adorable lil shoes. I have paired them with a shift and tights, as well as a dress with leggings. They add a nice pop of color to a black/white and/or gray combo that I seem to wear a lot these days.

I also purchased the following two dresses. But be forewarned these dresses are short and I'm saying that as a girl that is 5'2". I have worn them with tights and leggings. I have paired them with a black and a grey boyfriend type cardigan from Old Navy.
Finally, what is a Target run without hitting up the jewelry department. I purchased this fabulous necklace for under $20. I dream about pairing it with everything this fall and winter, a crisp, white button down and jeans or adding it to a shift dress. It automatically jumps the simple, plain outfit to the next level. Love it and for $19.99, seriously I can't resist. I had hoped to make an Old Navy run last night before Mr. Jetplane's volleyball game in this outfit (FYI this is the 1st time I was to wear leggings in public without a dress over them...It was to be monumental for me). I desperately wanted to pick up a sweater to 2 that were not available in my size on the net.Unfortunately for me (or was it a sign) my car was dead. Its still dead...sitting in the garage. Mr didn't get home until 9:30 and he has class all day today. Good thing I work from home :(

Outfit above is black legging from BR purchased on sale, white v-neck Hanes tshirt, grey boyfriend cardigan from Old Navy, grey/silver scarf Target, and Nine West Riding Boots bought at the outlet 2 years ago.

I'll be the first to admit leggings have scared me. I'm short and I was cursed with some thighs... How is everyone feeling about leggings?

Newest Addition to Mrs. Jetplane's Closet

So I went to the mall to take a look at the BCBG sale since I had mutliple coupons. Unfortunately I didn't see anything worth buying but I did find this lil number... of course NOT on sale.

Click the picture for info on the dress.

Now the question is, it is ok to wear this to Mr. Jetplane's sister's Vegas wedding next month?(that we just found out about...btw...total side story...really annoyed....will discuss later..)

Your advice is needed sweet readers...

Ashamed of Myself

So the Jetplanes are having a yard sale this coming weekend, and the house is in full yard sale mode. The garage has been overtaken and Mrs. Jetplane's stuff is all there in its obscene glory.

Okay, I know that I have a ridiculous amount of clothes, shoes, purses, etc. But honestly, I didn't really understand the full magnitude of the situation here. I guess I've always just cleared out a bag or two of clothes and dropped them off to goodwill without a lot of thought. But now, really seeing it and getting rid of it, OMG people.

I'm still without my laptop or I'd show you what I'm talking about. I hope someone buys some of these clothes because there is some seriously good stuff here - 2 formal dresses, about 15 purses, luggage, 20 pairs of shoes (5 of which have never been worn...yes the shame), BR jackets, BR shirts, crap load of Old Navy, F21, jewelry, unopened stationary, Columbia fleeces and coats, cookware, home decor, etc. etc.

I'm totally ashamed of myself and the amount of crap I have. Mr. Jetplane and I had a talk last night, I'm going to really think about my clothing purchases before I make them. I'm going to try my best.

Pray for me and my shopping addiction... And if you're in Pcola.... WE'RE HAVING A YARD SALE THIS WEEKEND.... PLEASE BUY OUR STUFF.

Jetplanes Winery Weekend

As promised, here is a little better recap from the wedding. We had a great time. Good food, good drink, and good friends... nothing is better.
Here is a better picture of our cabin. It was really nice and had a wonderfully cozy bed that we both fell in love with.

Here I am with the lovely bride, K. Doesn't she look gorgeous. And that is her natural hair color, Mr. Jetplane asked me. I know she was blessed. She's a speech pathologist, I started college in that major but realized it wasn't for me at the end of sophomore year. We rushed together and lived together Jr. and Sr. year of college. She's an amazing girl.

Here I am with J, she just had baby C in January. K, J, and I all lived together for 2 years in college. J was a bridesmaid in my wedding.

Here we are chatting up on the dance floor.

Yes, maybe someone took her purple heels off and busted a move. I ain't too proud to admit that. I'm pretty sure I'm dancing to Bee Gees here... Yeah, Mrs. Jetplane has some serious moves...

My dress is BCBG, I bought it Fall 2008 intending to wear it to my step brother's wedding, but didn't. I bought it at 30%-50% off. They no longer carrying it in the stores, but you maybe able to find it at BCBG outlet. I paired it with purple satin Mia pumps and a small purple clutch.

Happy Tuesday....

XOXO

Prepare for Incoming...

6 days and Mr. Jetplane will be home.... Yeah! I'm so excited but I'm also dreading it a little, to be completely honest.

Milo and I have been straight chilling for like 6 months now. We're in our groove and we've gotten used to it being just the 2 of us again. Well next week, my sweetie and our big dog Charlie are coming back into the crib. Its great but that means, all my bad habits have to stop and prepare for a huge change.

We had a conversation on the phone last night that went sort of like this...

Mr. " I can't wait to come home, I miss you like a crazy person"
Me: "I miss you too but now I have to stop being messy"
Mr.: "Yeah I bet, there's no telling what the place looks like."
Me: "Yes, there are shoes and socks everywhere...(laughing)"
Mr.:" I believe it. That place better be spotless when I get home."
Me: "Yeah right, we both know you didn't marry me for my domestic skills and its not going to start now."

You see, I'm quite the messy gal. I'll admit it. I leave shoes all over the place. I also take off my socks off while laying on the couch and you'll find them - in the couch, under the couch, in the blanket... it annoys him. I also have a ton of clothes and I generally try on 2 to 3 outfits every morning - with different undergarments, necklaces, shoes, etc. And I proceed to not put them away. I also leave clothes in the dryer FOREVER or have a pile of dirty clothes in the laundry room with no intention of doing it until is absolutely necessary.

So these bad habits have to be stopped before he gets home. Milo is going to be pissed, he'll be out of my bed and back on the floor.... I haven't told him yet.

Beyonce... do you own a mirror?

Just wondering why you left the house last night in this. It has to be one of the ugliest things I've ever see before. Did your mom make it? If so, that explains a lot.

Why do you do this to yourself? Don't even get me started on your dance routine outfit... You either do crazy short or crazy tight, there is no middle of the road for you.

What's making my Thursday better...

That I'm wearing this today. It came in the mail last night. It was on sale for $59 and I got an extra 20% due to the sale. If JCrew can't be at my TJ Maxx then I have to go to JCrew.

I love it... I've paired it with a pair of denim trousers (gap), a white ruffle neck cardigan(Old Navy) and brown platform pumps (Nine West). Love it... I'm also carrying my Brown Kate Spade bag that I bought from Rue La La a while ago.

Cute Outfit makes Mrs. Jetplane a happy girl...

How does one look cute in 20 degrees?

This is the question I am asking myself while planning my trip to Chicago this weekend? For the Bachelorette Party Saturday night, I want to look hot even though I'm going to be freezing my bootie off.

Now I did go to college in the Midwest and would wear my black mini, back-less shirts, and knee high black boots in the snow, who didn't??? But I'm much more mature now. So I want to wear my cute backless BCBG dress (still rocking the backless, suppose so). I never like to take expensive coats to clubs, I have a fear of it getting stolen, so I thought maybe just a cheap pashmina from Target would be ok? I can wear tights too, like that really going to make a difference...

HELP ME, I know I have Chicago readers out there. My blood is thinned out living down here and I need help. My friend Lou (who's party it is) has been living in the South as well for a couple of years, and we're both freaking out about what to wear...

I don't care if Monday's Blue...

Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too....

But my Monday wasn't blue because my Monday was purple... take a look.
I decided I needed to brighten my Monday with some bright purple tights, black shift, knee high black riding boots, and a chunky black necklace. These tights definitely didn't go unnoticed at work, need I remind you I'm one of the few people under the age of 30 at my company. I don't really care.

Well else happened today.

I don't have any new info on Baby J, and its killing me. I can't wait to see the new lil one.

The Jetplanes aren't moving to NC in March...ugh... With Mr.'s knee he going to get rolled back a class or maybe 2, so won't be moving until maybe August. But that does mean that the Mr. will be back in P'cola mid March and have a some time off. So there is a silver lining.

Thank you all for the questions for Mr. Jetplane. I'm dropping the bomb on him today about the blog questions. So keep them coming.

Also, I should finish my 1st book of the Sookie Stackhouse series. Sorry, I've only been reading when I have a free lunch hour. I enjoy the first book, it most of what's happened in the tv show thus far. I'll give you a wrap up after I complete it.

Happy Monday night... I have a lot of tv watching ahead of me. My DVR is getting a workout.

Oh and one last thing. Take a look at this adorable picture of my friend's dog she posted on Facebook. How cute is he?

Mrs. Jetplane+bored lunch hour+ BCBG sale = $$ down the drain

I think the title is self explanatory. I have been eyeing a dress for quite some time and I love it. I really wanted a 4 but they only had a 6 left, but I think if I wear a bra with it, it will be okay. Its not huge on me, but a 4 would have been best. I can rationalize anything.

Picture to follow tonight when I get home.

I was good I wanted 2 dresses, and settled for one. I needed a dress for Chicago, right?

Here's hoping Mrs. Jetplane's commission check is good next week... I've been spending money like its my job lately. The shopping is ceasing right now, so why is Rue La La having a Marc Jacobs sale tomorrow.... ugh..

Its a good day...

Its somewhat sunny and in high 60s down here in Florida. I'm wearing a black shirt dress from BR and these lovely ladies that I bought from Rue La La.

Thanks again for the invite Muffy.

I've paired it with my lovely yellow bag from JCrew that I got for $70 during their crazy sales. I have an affinity for large purses. I have everything in my purse that I could need today - book, umbrella, phone charger, planner, snacks, morning Red Bull, cards that need mailing, everything...

Happy Monday.

xoxo

Thank you's all around

I talked to my mom a couple of times tonight, she sounded very tired and a little drugged up, but everything seems to be okay, well as ok, as it can be.

I wanted to say thank you all again for all the support I've received this past couple of days. Its truly amazing how much strangers can prop you up in a time like this. I've felt like I'm kinda on an island to myself here, with living 10 hours away from home and the Mr. in Texas, its been great to feel the support from you all.

And a HUGE thank you to Gwen from Confession of a Control Freak. She has a wonderful blog and I love reading all the sweet comments she leaves me. I'm also so happy that her beloved cat is back home where he belongs. She bestowed upon me my 2nd award, and its too cute for words.

You have to pass it on to 5 other fabulous blogs in a post.

1. Muffy - I love reading her blog, and I can't wait to learn all about her upcoming wedding plans.
2. Some Like it Southern - She's become my new blogging friend. And I excited to see her upcoming lil baby.

3. Nina - I find her blog to be funny, informative, and I know we all can't wait till she's back on the Internet. I also can't believe that we're both from the area. It truly is a small, small world.

4. Chic Runner - I've just started keeping up with her blog, and have enjoyed all her comments she leaves me. I wish deep down I was a runner.... unfortunately as I've said before, I am not.

5. Dugout Daisy - I love hearing her talk about how much she adores Twilight. I'm so jealous she's already seen it.

You have to list 5 of your fabulous addictions in the post.

1. I'm addicted to shopping, shopping for anything. I love to buy clothes, shoes, dog toys, food, cleaning products, flowers.... you name it I enjoy buying it.

2. I'm addicted to television. Project Runway, Top Chef, Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, and the list goes on.

3. I'm addicted to caffeine, but I don't drink coffee. I will admit that I have drastically cut down my intake in the past 2 years. But I do have to have 1 caffeine drink a day, or I get a headache. I drink a Sugar Free Red Bull almost every morning while sitting at my office.

4. I'm addicted to Banana Republic. And BR sending my coupons every month for $10 to $20 off as a thank you for putting some damage onto my BR Luxe card, doesn't help.

5. I'm addicted to shoes and cardigans. I love shoes. I love cardigans. I don't even know how many I have. Its a problem.

You must copy and paste the rules and the instructions below in the post.

Instructions: On your post of receiving this award, make sure you include the person that gave you the award and link it back to them. When you post your five winners, make sure you link them as well. To add the award to your post, simply right-click, save image, then "add image" it in your post as a picture so your winners can save it as well. To add it to your sidebar, add the "picture" gadget. Also, don't forget to let your winners know they won an award from you by emailing them or leaving a comment on their blog.

Fashion Help Needed

I need some fashion advice here. I just bought this dress from the BR outlet. Its off white with navy, blue, and red. I want to wear tights and knee high boots, but I don't know which ones and what color tights would be best. I thought maybe the lighter brown boots with navy tights, but I'm not sure....

So your input is greatly needed.

Update - got a comment saying I need a black boot round toe with heel. I do have a pair, but I was hoping to maybe wear my new black riding boots inside of the ones with a heel. See below. Thanks for the advice.

And, thank you all so much for entering my giveaway. But keep it up girls, you have until Sunday at 12am.

I have a Confession

This may be TMI...

I'm lazy and with the Mr. MIA I don't shave my legs as much as I should.

Ok, I'm wearing a very cute orange, BR wrap dress today. I should of shave my legs this morning, but I didn't. Instead I'm wearing brown tights and brown knee high boots.

Told you I'm lazy.

Discount Diva

Well here is my latest Target buy, for 12.99 each.

I bought one in black and purple. I'm big on purple right now.

I paired the black one with a pair of tweed trousers from BR and a pair of platform mary janes. I also wore the purple one this week, with a pair of pinstripe black pants from BR and black sling backs and a large pearl necklace.
You can't beat Target...

Oh Spanx.....

Today I love you and hate you at the same time...

Love - because you make me look better in my BR Khaki sheath dress.

Hate - because I forgot how high the slit up the back was
Hate - because I have the high waisted ones on and i can now really tell that I've gained weight since i wore this pair...

Ok, this extra 6 lbs that I gained since the wedding has to come off.... 6lbs is alot on a 5'2" frame... especially when you gain weight in your butt and thighs like I do.

The End is Near...

Project Runway FINALE is Tonight. Oh Kittens, I'm so excited and I'm so sad. It's been my shining ray of happiness on Wednesday nights, and with the on going legal battle, who knows when/if it will reappear on Lifetime. (I'm still sick that its going to Lifetime)

Any who.... I've totally stole this from http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/ so sorry boys.

Here are all the looks from the 3 final designers in the competition. And I'll be honest, these have been my 3 favorites all season. I know people hate Kenley, I agree she's a pain in the ass, but I love her work just the same.

LeAnn's work. I love the architectural feel of her designs. I fell in love with her wedding dress that was shown last week. Its to DIE for....

Kenley's work has been repeatedly called RETRO. While I can see it in some pieces, I feel she still has a fresh outlook in her designs. I love her lil dresses. Korto - I've been on the fence on some of her designs. I have LOVED some and completely hated others. Week 2 - was horrid and I thought she should have went home then, but she hung in there and pulled out some great pieces.

I hope Leann wins. I've already looked through all the pieces shown at Fashion Week, and I think her show shined more than all the rest. Can't WAIT....

Deep Thoughts from the weekend

1. I found Badgley Mischka at TJ Maxx. I found a really cute Purple dress, but while it fit in the top it didn't really have a waist and wasn't very flattering on me. It looked like a really cute pruple bag.

2. I'm pissed that I don't get to see the Colts today on regular TV. I'm checking updates online.

3. I've recently decided to not buy small bagged carrots. I've started buying a pound of carrots and then peel and cut them myself. Did you realize that use can get a pound for under $1.00? Not only is it cheaper, but they taste alot better.

4. I am successfully bringing my backyard back to life.

5. I just bought a super cute, pink, cotton sleep dress from Walmart - its Hanes and the proceeds are going to Breast Cancer Research.

6. I'm still working on Thank you cards from the wedding. Yes I'm horrible. I have about 30 or so left. I just got totally burnt out. All the "important" people got theirs during the first wave...

7. I'm going to make Rice Krispies today.... Yeah!! Yes I'm supposed to be watching what I eat...

8. I put some time in on the elliptical machine yesterday.... not enough but it is the first step.

9. I can't wait to watch Mad Men tonight.

10. Poor lil Milo has some sort of eye infection. I have to give him antibiotics, baby aspirins, and put ointment in both of his eyes, which he absolutely hates.
