Pug Friday - Vintage Milo Style

Hello Friday! Oh how I've missed you these past 6 days. Today will be busy and with the yard sale this weekend, it will be crazy tonight at the Jetplanes' household.

But since it is Friday and I got my old pictures from my previous laptop retrieved, I had to post some puggie puppy pictures of my sweet lil man Milo. Excuse the man in the picture, that is my ex - aka Mr. Douchebag - as he is affectionately referred to on my blog.

Milo was a over 1 year old when Mr. Jetplane came into my life and he was so shocked to see what a cutie pie he was (still is in my book).

So behold Milo as a puppy. Is that not the sweetest face in the world? Pug puppies are my own personal kryptonite.

As here a newer picture of this lil guy.

Happy Friday everyone! In P'cola this weekend and want to go to a yard sale hit me up by email. I have one that you shouldn't miss!

Also, if you were touched by my previous post about Bradley and Hope for Paws, please check out their Flicker here.

Happy Bday Lil Bro!

Today my lil brother turns 25 years old! Happy Birthday J, hope you have a good one!

Sorry if I was a pain in the ass when we were kids.
Sorry I rammed you against the wall with a folding chair when you were younger.
Sorry I told you it was cool to pain your fingernails.
Sorry I watched you eat crayons when you were a little and pooped green poop.
Sorry I made you run laps around the house and told you I was your conditioning coach for pee wee football league.
Sorry I made you play house with me.
Sorry you felt my wrath in the morning before grade school when I had to get us up and off to school when mom worked really long hours.
Sorry I blamed you for everything.

I'm not sorry that...
You are good at every sport you play, except golf.
You have a much better singing voice then me.
You got and still get to sleep in a ridiculous amount of time.
And I'm still pissed about the time when I was 4 years old laying on the living room floor watching Saturday morning cartoons and you crawl up and bit me in the butt and wouldn't let go. I still remember that and will never let you live it down.

Love ya and miss ya!

Frustration Level: HIGH

Well my cute, white Sony laptop returned to me yesterday and Mr. Jetplane acted like it was all great, well NO its freaking not! Everything was wiped out....EVERYTHING. Luckily - our wedding, engagement, family pictures are all on CDs but I had them downloaded onto the computer, and I had edited over 100 of the pictures from the wedding. That 'free' program that came with my computer for photo editing - GONE, all the pictures I had taken from the past 8 months - GONE, all the images I have saved for blogging, home decorating - GONE, and all the CDs I had downloaded for my IPOD - GONE.
Yes - I should have backed it up. Yeah! Thanks! I'm well aware of that.

Am I totally and 100% pissed off at the world (my husband) and throwing an all out bitchfest party of 1 - HELL Yes! Mr. thought that all my pictures would be on my card for my camera...uh no... I download and delete them off when I upload onto my computer, uh do you really think that card would hold 1k pictures. Surprisingly I guess he did.
Any good news... well the Mr. took my old Dell into the computer place as well, this computer has been in the closet for 2 years or so, the power cord broke and I've been too lazy to order a new one and we had gotten a new PC so I didn't need it. Well this Dell was a college graduation present and my old work computer from my first job out of college. I wanted to pull all the pictures from that computer. Mr. had successfully retrieved all the picture so we have some vintage Milo puppy pictures (be still my heart).

But I'm still really upset about this situation. Considering my husband is the one that knocked my computer off the coffee table and broke my hard drive.

Anyway... on a MUCH lighter note!!

1. Yard Sale - thank you for all your kind words, to those that have emailed me, I will get back to you with our address.
2. The money will go to me getting a new cell phone, some spending money for our upcoming Biloxi trip, and hpefully some will go in the bank... here's to making some $$$. NO I won't be buying clothes with it.

3. I saw this driving into work today on the back from a van.

Not a big deal until I saw the front windshield of the van that had a wrap around decal that stated, " Yes I am one of those Twilight People!"

All Dogs Go To Heaven

I saw this today on Made by Girl and I knew immediately that I needed to support this organization by purchasing the book.

I am reposting a portion of her post here...

Audrey & Eldad Hagar never imagined that when they began photographing the hundreds of fostered dogs (and other creatures) who came through their home, that they would actually create a book. They just wanted to remember the animals they had shared great memories with.

Below is their short story about a little dog named Bradley...

"We rescued Bradley from the shelter last night, and today I took him to a neurologist. The doctor had only sad news for Bradley...We agreed he should go to sleep and not suffer this severe hydrocephalus. (as you can see, his head is weirdly shaped due to a lot of fluids in his head / brain).

I didn't want to let him go yet, so from the vet I took Bradley to the beach, I sat with him, played with him, and I fed him many cheeseburgers and fried chicken.

We sat there for two hours, and after that I took him to the vet's office right on the beach, and he went to sleep forever :-(It was such a sad day... I cried like a baby for this little guy.

Even now when I am typing these words, tears are coming to my eyes..." (The end)

Please visit their website and if you can purchase the book for only $9.95.

Ashamed of Myself

So the Jetplanes are having a yard sale this coming weekend, and the house is in full yard sale mode. The garage has been overtaken and Mrs. Jetplane's stuff is all there in its obscene glory.

Okay, I know that I have a ridiculous amount of clothes, shoes, purses, etc. But honestly, I didn't really understand the full magnitude of the situation here. I guess I've always just cleared out a bag or two of clothes and dropped them off to goodwill without a lot of thought. But now, really seeing it and getting rid of it, OMG people.

I'm still without my laptop or I'd show you what I'm talking about. I hope someone buys some of these clothes because there is some seriously good stuff here - 2 formal dresses, about 15 purses, luggage, 20 pairs of shoes (5 of which have never been worn...yes the shame), BR jackets, BR shirts, crap load of Old Navy, F21, jewelry, unopened stationary, Columbia fleeces and coats, cookware, home decor, etc. etc.

I'm totally ashamed of myself and the amount of crap I have. Mr. Jetplane and I had a talk last night, I'm going to really think about my clothing purchases before I make them. I'm going to try my best.

Pray for me and my shopping addiction... And if you're in Pcola.... WE'RE HAVING A YARD SALE THIS WEEKEND.... PLEASE BUY OUR STUFF.

Oh Men...

Do you ever notice how easy it if for men to make friends? Does anyone else find this completely annoying???

My hubby, Mr. Jetplane, is an extremely outgoing person, and when you meet him, you either love him or hate him. He's a jokester and some people can take it, others cannot. But that being said, he gets along great with my family and friends. And sometimes that is the problem.

Example #1

Don't they look like life long buddies?

The Jetplanes visited STL for a baseball game and then a wedding. We stayed with my cousin and her husband, J. Mr. Jetplane has hung out with him maybe 3 times. That night you would have thought they were long lost buddies. Mr. Jetplane even helped entertain J's client and his sons that we met up with before the game. His client's son was trying to become an officer in the Navy and got some very bad information from his recruiter and was led to believe some misleading information that affected his ability to get into the officer's program. However, Mr. Jetplane talked to them alot and actually got an email from J's client last week thanking him for the words of wisdom and his son is now excited again about his future.

Example #2

This weekend the Jetplanes met up with my friend Lou and her hubby R who happened to be in Destin this weekend with some friends from ATL. We hung out all day and night Sunday. Mr. Jetplane and R have hung out 3 times, well really only twice since attending Lou and R's wedding really shouldn't count. These 2 are ridiculous together, Lou and I called them Dumb and Dumber, they encourage each other to no end and well... they are just 2 peas in a pod. Unfortunately I have no pictures, but you can imagine 2 grown men, adult beverages in hand on a beach, and dancing in front of the mortified wives. There is a visual for you.

So point of the post... How come women can't make friends like guys do? I know we're catty, judgemental, and just down right bitchy sometimes, but seriously.... what's our deal?

Pug Friday

Hello All! Did this week fly by or is it me, it might be me...

Who is looking forward to a 3 day weekend... (raising my hand). Too bad the Gulf Coast is in for a wet weekend. But that's ok, we have ALOT of prep for the upcoming yard sale to do this weekend. We've never had a yard sale before, sure with our families but not just us. We're so adult. ha ha.

Anyway, back to the purpose of the post....PUGS! Since my laptop is still in the shop I can't upload any puggie pics of my sweetie pie Milo but I did locate this adorable blog about 2 black pugs Shasha and Cleo.

Long story short...Orginally, almost 6 years ago now, I wanted a black, female pug but I got a fawn, male one instead. But that's ok, I adore my lil hunk of pure pug loving Milo.

This week Pug Friday picture I pulled from their blog and I believe is a perfect picture to show you exactly what it looks like at my house with Milo come dinner time.

What do these faces say to you?

To Mrs. Jetplane they say, "Please feed me. I am so hungry and mistreated. If you love me you will feed me. Oh no Mama... you don't love me..."

P.S. Thank you for the kind words and motivation for my recent stance on getting back into shape. The pictures are from right before our wedding, I am skinny there, I am NOT skinny now. I live in Florida. I have to be in a swimsuit, this tube of fat that is attached to my ass, stomach, and thighs needs to be removed. I'll keep you all updated.

That's IT...

Mrs. Jetplane has officially decided she has to get back into shape. At this time last year, I was lean and mean, and losing my mind, getting ready to get married. Its happening people...starting today (ok maybe tomorrow) but its happening.

Here is the Jetplanes getting their marriage license. Yes you can see I really am THAT short, I am wearing flats in this picture though. Here we are at our rehearsal dinner. My dress was a little too revealing for me to feel comfortable for Catholic Church, luckily on of my bridesmaid had a cardigan she brought for me.

I will be that size again. I lost about 17 lbs before the wedding, I was the heaviest I had ever been, fat and happy was what I was. Right now, I'm about about 8 lbs heavier than I was when I got married. I know that doesn't sound like a lot to some, but HELLO people... I am short!

I'll keep you posted, hopefully this announcement will get my booty in gear.

She's Crafty...

Well, at least I do try to be from time to time. Basically, I'm a gal with a lot of ideas, but a little lazy...so that's not always a great combo.

However, during our wedding planning process, I did it all and rather enjoyed it.

Which leads us to what's going down in our house right now. The Jetplanes are preparing to have a yard sale at the end of the month. We have a ton of stuff and want to get rid of it before moving to NC. We're talking some good stuff here.

Anyway, as Mr. Jetplane was going through my file cabinet in the office, stuffed with who knows what, he ran upon a HUGE stack of cards, all the cards we received from our wedding. I kept them, I don't know why but I didn't want to throw them away. I wanted to do something with them.

Then I ran across this from Nesting Blog and I fell in love. My initial (no pun intended) was to make our initial our of hole punches from our wedding cards. But I decided against it, however, keeping with the idea of doing something with the cards I'm in the process of making an art piece that will be framed. (the above idea will be used for our hypothecial child's room)

I've began cutting the cards with an exact-o knife into strips and doing a weave with them. I like what I have going on so far and since my laptop is still in the shop no pictures yet of my work in progress. Eventually, I am going to frame the my art piece.

Cross your fingers its works out, if it doesn't, well I'm not cutting up the cards from our grandparents and parents.

Important Shopping Information Below...

Kate Spade sale on Rue La La today starting at 10am Central.

If you need an invite click on link below.

Please leave all the size 6.5 shoes to me, there appears to me some very cute flats. I'm not interested in the sunglasses so please focus on them and not the shoes...shoes are my crack...and mama needs her crack. I have $90 in credits from an unfortunate Juicy purchase burning a hole in my pocket that I want to spend today.

Additionally,BR and JCrew outlets appear to be having great sales this weekend. Also, BR accidentally sent me my Luxe Card bill 2x this month, and included my $20 off card twice. Holla!! Someone may be going to the outlet this weekend, even though she told her hubby no shopping...ugh...

Sometimes they leave us no choice

Ode to Facebook

Oh Facebook

Thank you for making this world a little smaller.

Thank you for re-introducing me to my high school love and his illegitimate child, she's very cute. He offered to take me and Mr. Jetplane out to dinner when we're in town... that's weird right?

Thank you for re-introducing me to my ex college loves.... the recovering druggie, the non committal hot guy, the jerk, the what the hell was I thinking, and the you'll do for now.

Thank you for letting me see inside the world of people I went to high school and college with. The girls in high school that thought they were so hot... are now divorced, fat, and with multiple kids. The hot guys in high school are now... fat, balding, unemployed, with kids.

And surprisingly the eccentric, nerdy, funny guys I was friends with in high school are the hot ones these days. I adore the irony of it all.

Thank you for making me feel better about myself and Thank you for allowing me to reconnect with people I haven't talked to in years.

But... people seriously I don't need you to update your profile every 2 hours with what you are doing... TMI people, ever heard of it???

UPDATE: OK before this gets out of hand.
1. I don't look down on people that are divorced. FYI I was raised by a single mom and have no relationship with my biological father. So please don't assume I look down on divorced people. However, I do take marriage and bringing children into marriage, very seriously.
2. I made that comment, b/c said girls/guys acted as if they were perfect and everyone else was beneath them.
3. You are correct the post was judgemental. I am judging them, I'm not perfect and never said I was. But I'm human, and I judge people.

Here you go...

Helpful Mrs. Jetplane hint: If you ask for a referral to RueLaLa or anything else, give me some contact info. If you leave an ANON comment, I can't locate you to send you a referral.

So to all you that requested an invite:

http://www.ruelala.com/invite/jetplane

FYI- I am without laptop for who knows how long. Story to follow... It involves a bulldog, coffee table, vacuum cleaner, and a husband...

The TALK...

The Jetplanes have been having THE TALK and by THE TALK I am referring to the BABY TALK. If you've read my blog for a while you'll know that I'm scared to have kids and I'm pretty sure I'm not old enough, even though I am almost 29 years old. Yes, I know I'm physically old enough, but I'm talking about the important stuff...emotionally, spiritually, mentally, etc. etc.

Just because people (i.e. kids) can have children doesn't mean they should, right? I'm still freaked out by the whole idea of something growing inside me, yes... I told you I was immature about this.

Do I want children... the answer is YES. Does Mr. Jetplane want kids that would be a double YES. When do we want to have them... that is the question. I'm almost 30 and we want to have 2 kids. And I have this irrational fear of not being able to conceive. Also, I had my palm read earlier this year and the woman told me I'd have 2-3 miscarriages in my life. Yes, she could be a total freaking con artist, but still that just feeds my fear.

We move to NC at the end of August. Mr. Jetplane will be in intensive training for 9 months, we're talking 12 to 14 hours day of school and studying (which has to be done on base, since its all "super secret", that what I referred to classified as" having a child, and by having it I mean physically giving birth to it and raising it during those 9 months, is totally OUT OF THE QUESTION. But that being said, getting knocked up during those 9 months could be possible, however unlikely since said training will consume our lives.

So yes... we're getting closer to actually being ready to think about starting to try to have kids. Yes, I know this may seem strange but for us its a big step, ok for ME its a big step. Mr. Jetplane is a big kid, so he's totally fine and not freaked out in the least bit.

We're both going to be 29 shortly, celebrating our 1 year anniversary, and will have been together 5 years in August. So a baby Jetplane may be making an appearance in the next year or so... wow its weird thinking about this.

Pug Friday

Well...first things first... I'm still dealing with the season finale of Grey's, can we say SHOCKER?

I knew that George didn't renew his contract and was going to be off the show, but I just assumed that he was off to war and that would be would that... OH NO... thank you writers for that twist and making me cry like a lil baby...

So what about Izzy? You think she's down for the count, or does she get to make a decision at the elevator door? Hmmm...

Moving ON....

Its Pug Friday people! And without further ado here is your weekly dose of puggie loving...

Oh Happy Day (or Night)

Santa Claus came today in the form of the UPS man. And he brought with him this lovely number. Its from the recent Lilly sale on Rue La La and it only cost me $14.20 since I had credits and a return. Now, normally I am not a fan of Lilly, but this really had me at hello... and its even better in person. Its lined in cotton and is a 100% silk.

And finally I promised that I would take a picture of my recent Target purchase. I really like this dress and unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere on line. Its cream and navy. I paired it with open toed brown stacked heels brought a cream cardigan, since it gets a little chilly in my office.

Happy Thursday evening...

The Jetplanes Threw Down This Morning About...

THIS... Yes you see correctly... Peanut Butter and most importantly the Battle of Creamy v. Crunchy.

You see the Jetplanes have fundamentally different views on peanut butter, I am a creamy and he unfortunately is a crunchy, go figure right? Well, since Mr. Jetplane was not living with me for 6 months (don't flip out recent readers...he was at training) I NEVER brought crunchy. Well now he's back and bitching about the fact that I don't buy him crunchy peanut butter. So again this morning while putting peanut butter on his raisin toast and filling Charlie's KONG with peanut butter he shouted from the kitchen... "Hey...Seriously hon, buy me some crunchy peanut butter!"

Me: "Get over it! There is no need to have 2 different peanut butters in this house and I BUY the groceries. Its a total waste of $4 to have 2 jars of it in the house."

Him: "Whatever!"

Me: "Ok I'll buy you your crunch peanut butter but you decide what you don't want this week instead."

Him: "Huh?"

Me: "Yes that's right... I have to buy raisin bread, tortillas, Naked Drinks, Gatorade, Soy Milk, certain type of healthy cereal, Luna bars, and I have to wait in line for a certain type of lunch meat....etc. etc. etc. So you decide what can go so I can buy your peanut butter."

Him: "Fine! Then I'll go buy it myself!"

Me: "Really? You understand that we, and by we, I mean I, spend $400 a month on groceries* and I don't really see the point in having 2 jars of relatively the exact same food."

Him: "I said I'll buy it myself!"

Me: "Okay... you do that, but keep in mind if you bought the groceries... you would tell me what I wanted wasn't a necessity and we didn't need it... Or what I wanted wasn't 'healthy' and it shouldn't be in the house..."

Him: "No I wouldn't.... (thinking...) Okay.... you're right... I would do that..."

*$400/ month for groceries may seem high to some, but we generally bring our lunches to work and don't go out to eat that much. But I am making an effort to reduce the costs... and therefore 2 jars of peanut butter... not needed.

This is what I felt like doing to him with the peanut butter this morning...

Oh Sookie... you're so fine, you're so fine... you blow my mind...

Well... let me tell you I finished Dead and Gone on Friday night. And I had a mix of happiness and sadness. I was happy that I finished the book and sad that it was over. I love the Bon Temps world and all the crazy characters that inhabit it. The book was good... not great, but very good. And you want to know the best part.... Eric, oh Eric... I heart you and want you and Sookie to end up together.

I'm not going to give anything away, but I will tell you that you get to learn more about Hotshot, the Fae community, and more about Sookie's family history. There's a mysterious death of a 'person' close to Sookie, the Weres come of out the closet, and a new war is brewing in the supernatural community. My only complaint is, I did feel some of the story lines could have been drawn out a little more. But in general I really enjoyed the book.... and Eric...ok so might be a little obsessed with Eric.

Now... I'm going to open the conversation to Twilight v. Sookie Series... Yes, I've commented that this series is much better than Twilight and I firmly stand behind that statement. Sorry all you Twilight lovers, but its true.

**The next statements are the opinions of Mrs. Jetplane and Mrs. Jetplane only...

Twlight

I found Bella incredibly annoying in the first 2 books. I found her incredibly needy and co-dependent. I say this as an almost 29 year old woman, but I found her completely immature which would make sense, since she is a teenager. It left me thinking... OMG was I that needy and annoying in high school, I'm pretty sure the answer would be YES!

I found Meyer's writing style annoying at times. I felt used some words over and over, and I became noticeable.

I found it disappointing that her fight scenes were extremely short. She would write pages after pages go into specific detail about some things, and then in the culmination of a battle it would get like 5 pages....very anti climatic for me.

FYI - I got Mr. Jetplane to read them as well... he agreed.

P.S. Yes I love Edward and Jacob. P.S.S. I'm very concerned about how they are going to make the werewolve transform in the movie, since I thought the glittery skin in the sun stuff was complete crap.

Sookie Stackhouse Series

I enjoy the fact that it is ADULT. Read all that you want into the word...ADULT...this isn't PG13 honeys...

Sookie is an incredibly strong young woman. You respect and admire her as a character. She doesn't need a man, even though she does get quite a few.

The stories bring you into a whole new supernatural world, and with each book you learn more and more about the 'people' and societies that walk upon this world.

Its dark but humorous all at the same time.

And the books aren't crazy long.

NOW --- to wrap this up. Yes, I read all the Twilight books. Yes, generally I like them, but I'll be honest... I HATED New Moon. I had to push myself through it because I wanted to read all 4 before the movie came out. Do I honestly believe that the Sookie series is better, yes I do. That is my personal opinion... so please no mean comments. I know you crazy Twilight fans.

But I do feel as an adult, I found Sookie was more appealing to my sensibilities than Bella.

So what's the peanut gallery have to say about it....

The Key to My Heart

Hey There.. Mr. Jetplane... I don't think you ever read my blog, but here's a hint on something your wifey would like for her bday or anniversary gift...

If money is no object, well take a look at these...

Mr. Jetplane's Potential Gift

Okay... so the Jetplanes celebrate 1 year of wedded bliss on June 7th and Mr.'s 29th bday is July 8th. (FYI my 29th is June 2nd)

So we're both hard at work thinking about both bday and anniversary gifts. Here's what I'm thinking for his bday or possibly anniversary gift.

I know, I know! 1st is paper, but Mr. and I are non-traditional. We're going to be spending paper while gambling in Biloxi so there you go... We've also both agreed to not spend too much money on gifts, we're trying to be conservative.

Odds and Ends of The Jetplanes

Well... Hello all... Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend because the Jetplanes had an awesome weekend.

Friday - A lil OG and hitting up Best Buy and World Market (needed some Sophia). And finished the latest Sookie book... more info to follow

Saturday - Puggie Meet Up - Subway - hanging out with the dogs and watching a lil HBO, then cleaning out closets and preparing for upcoming Yard Sale. At night we hit up a comedy show the first one in a while being held in Pcola. It was a great time.

Here is part of the crew from the meet up. We had quite a good showing this month.
Here's Milo... someone needed a drink...

Sunday - Took the dogs to the beach on base, commissary for groceries, saw Star Trek, and then home to cook dinner and Mr. did yard work.
Quite a way to start a Sunday morning... don't you think... I love the fact that we seriously live 10 minutes away from this...

Someone did not want to go home....

Someone was a little tired on the way home...

All in all, it was quite an enjoyable weekend.

Everything will cease to exist....

Because this has now entered into my life..... The newest book was released this week!!!!

I picked it up during my lunch hour yesterday and started reading after dinner. Mr. Jetplane wasn't around during my immersion into the Bon Temps world, he doesn't understand how it can suck a person it. So he was a little confused when after we returned from eating tasty Thai food, I quietly jumped into bed under the covers and read until he came to bed at 10pm. He came in a couple of times to see if I was sick, I assured him I wasn't.

I only got about 110 pages in, but I can't wait till lunch, I'm hitting up Subway and reading...

For those of you that know the series you completely understand, for those of you that don't..well... you should get in the know. These books are 1000% better than Twilight, trust me...well if you're a woman over the age of 20 then they are definitely better.

You know what makes my day better...

Wearing this lil number that was just delivered last night.

I adore it and am thinking about getting the pink one as well (on sale right now). I have paired it with a white Old Navy tank and a black pencil skirt with satin waist band that I literally found in my closet this morning with tags on it (from Old Navy as well). I had no idea I had this skirt... that may say something for my shopping and my closet.

And I'm wearing my "high" heel black suede open toed Nine West Mary Janes. I feel so much better when I'm in a cute outfit, don't you?

And obviously I'm carrying my bright yellow JCrew tote. What is summer without it...

Sorry I'm blogging about clothes alot, but I've been getting some good deals lately.

Update: Sweater is from JCrew, sorry I forgot to mention that.

All MAXI'd Out...

Something you may have guessed by now, Mrs. Jetplane loves dresses. From Spring until the end of Fall I'm in dresses and skirts at work and at 'play'. And this summer will be like last summer, I'm obsessed with Maxi dresses, but unfortunately I refuse to pay a lot of money for the cute dresses I don all weekend long.

Over the past two months or so I've been lucky to pick up some cute cotton numbers from Old Navy and Target. **Remember Mrs. Jetplane is short like 5'2" short and when I wear these with flats they are longer than they appear on the models.

Very funny story about this below dress. I wore it on Sunday running into Target and the Commissary for grocery shopping... I had a cute lil girl spot me about 10 times in Target and every time say... "Look MOM there is that girl in the pretty dress... mom... look... isn't that dress pretty??? Oh Mom I want a pretty dress just like that!!"

Too cute right? Well at the Commissary it was a little different story, I had 3 old sailors tell me that they liked my dress too and a number of stares as well... it was much cuter coming from the lil girl... I need to pick up this lil number during my next Target visit....

Happy Wednesday to all. Please remember to keep voting for your favorite pug, polls close soon... Someone put up a link to Facebook I see, very crafty...

UPDATE: Questions about length.... I buy XS and the lengths on the Target ones are never a problem. I wear flats and they hit the top of my feet. I prefer them to be to the floor and just my feet peeking out. The Old Navy ones are a little longer, I can wear sandals with a heel, but I honestly don't mind them touching the ground a little. That's just me... that's how I roll...

Exciting Events for the Jetplanes

First things first, the Jetplanes have decided how they are going to spend their 1st Anniversary as a married couple....well since 1st year is paper, we think we've found the best way (for us) to celebrate and that is going to Biloxi, MS. Yes, its no Vegas but its a quick drive from P'cola, we're close to the water, we're going to schedule massages, we're gonna enjoy some good food and have a heck of a time.

You see the Jetplanes like to gamble and enjoy some adult beverages so there you go... Yes, it may not be 'that exciting' to some, but we're trying to be conservative with our spending, we're already going on a week long vacay with Mr.'s frat brothers, and we're moving in August so I need my vacay days. But we're both REALLY excited. We enjoy going to Biloxi, we're booking our room now... and trying to get the best deal.

Now that is out of the way the next BIG news is Mrs. Jetplane is going to be blogging somewhere else starting today.... Does anyone know??? The cat has been somewhat out of the bag for a couple of weeks but.... Becca has accepted me into the fold at Glam Gals: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Military Wives. My first post is this morning.

So for all you Mil Wives, and non Mil Wives, please check us out.

And now to get mushy for a moment... this whole blogging world has become a wonderful outlet for me and has connected me with so many lovely ladies - mil and non mil. I discussed it with Mr. Jetplane last night, and he doesn't seem to be able to wrap his mind around it. You all make me feel like I'm not the only one out there feeling the way I feel. So THANK YOU to all of you that read my lil blog and THANK YOU to all of you for becoming my blogging friends...

XOXO

Mrs. Jetplanes Wedding Attire..

Mr. Jetplane assumed since the wedding was beach casual that Mrs. Jetplane would not require a new outfit. Well, he was sourly mistaken, but I was able to get my entire outfit on quite a budget.
First things first, I bought these adorable sandals at Target for under $20. They have them in white, blue, green, and black. I think I will need to by them in the green as well. I adore them, and they look shocking just like the pair I saw at Aldo last week but for substantially less. I'm sure they are a knock off of someone else, but Mrs. Jetplane unfortunately doesn't know who.

The sandals were paired with this Coral dress from the Gap. Its very cute, and a little redder in color than appears in the picture. I purchased this on sale for $37.00 that included tax. What's a summer beach wedding without my bright yellow JCrew bag that I bought on crazy sale during the winter months. I had to bring this big bag because I needed to pack a hairbrush, scarf, and sweater in case it got cool on the water, which it did.

Okay, this is unrelated to the wedding, but I did make this purchase last week during the Lilly Sale on Rue. I'll admit I am not a huge Lilly fan, there I said it, do with that what you will. I own a reversible swim suit that I purchased at TJ Maxx, as well as a navy (no print) shift dress and a cardigan (both on sale). I was unsure about the sizing, my shift is a 4 so I bought a 4, we shall see. Since I'm small up top and very narrow shoulders, I really have to try dresses on... I purchased this with my Rue credits so it didn't hurt the bank at all.
I promise some more exciting Jetplane news will be coming....
**One comment I forgot to add to my morning post, the instructor is in the Air Force, that's what made the students flying in from NC much more special.
