Getting Back into the Swing of Things

The Jetplanes are settling down as much as we can. Yesterday, Mr. Jetplane calls me to tell me that he is going to make dinner. To that I ask... "Well what are you planning to make? We have no food in our house right now."
Mr.: "I know. I'm not sure. What do we have?"
Me: "I think we have a box of chicken nuggets, lots of frozen veggies, rice, mac and cheese, soup. But I had soup and a sandwich for lunch, so I don't want them."
Mr: sulking.... since he is all Mr. Healthy eater... "UGH... I had soup and a sandwich too...whatever..."
Me: "Well you could go to the store?"
Mr.: "I'll make what we have..."
Fast forward to my drive home from work...
Mr "Where are you? Dinner will be ready in 43 seconds."
Me "I'm driving home, I'll be home in about 5-10 minutes. What did you make?"
Mr "What you told me to make... by the way we each only get 3 chicken nuggets..."
I arrived home to a lovely meal of 3 chicken nuggets, Velveeta shells and cheese (2%), and broccoli. We drank lovely sugar free Strawberry Crystal Light.
Someone needs to go to the store... I have a feeling it will be me.

3 chicken nuggets! Haha that's hilarious!!
haha! If it makes you feel any better...after church last night we made like 3 u-turns trying to make up our minds on what to pick up for supper!
Mr. Jetplane is nicer than Mr. Marine. He would have said, "Carrie, you are smaller than me. So you get 2 nuggets and I get 4."
Be thankful!
Oh, this makes me happy because I can totally see the exact conversation between me and my man a year from now when we get married.
Looks like you'll have to start copying my Menu Mondays.
Our house is like that right now, because this week is beyond busy.
hahahah that is great
You better get to the grocery store or you'll be having rice for dinner tonight. Haha!
This made me hysterically laugh... so normal! You're not the only one! Glad you are home safe and sound.
That's too funny. I can totally see my husband doing the same thing.
Sounds like my dinner :) Glad things are going well for you guys!
Funny! Sad thing is.. We eat like that whenever it's my turn to cook!
Haha this is so funny! My boyfriend and I have done the same thing.. I call it creative cooking :)
This is my 1st comment on your blog, I've been reading for a week or so now. I think you are just wonderful and I'm glad you have Mr. Jetplane back in your arms :)
haha I have been there!!! happy grocery shopping! :)
That is too funny!
Too funny! I'm glad you are settling into "normal life" together.
Awww that's funny but still kinda romantic in a way??? He tried!!
Yes I find the romance in everything. How long is he home for?
holy crap that's worse than a meal at the cafeteria back in high school!! Wow. Well. I guess my ramen noodles wasn't too much better.
That's funny! My hubby would have just said, "never mind, what can we pick up" He's such a take out guy.
