You want to know how crazy I am?

Well, I'm about to show you. First, I'm going to preface this by making this statement.

Mrs. Jetplane is totally neurotic and I already know this. I'm a planner, a worrier, a drama queen, and a crazy lady.

My latest online shopping obsession is nursery furniture and bedding. I have no idea why, but I've been overcome with looking at it and fell madly in love with Pottery Barn kids. I've been getting the catalogs for a while, and always enjoyed looking at them. Mr. Jetplane was very interested in the Star Wars sheets, but we decided against it.

That being said, I love the idea of a Dr. Seuss room if its a boy. I even found this... Which is totally over the top and not what I would do, but its completely adorable.

And no, this doesn't mean that Mrs. Jetplane is going to get knocked up right when Mr. Jetplane gets home next month, but we may be practicing (wink wink). The topic is up for discussion again once we have had our 1 year anniversary in June. I've always wanted to be married at least a year before trying to have kids, that's always been my minimum. However, I never thought my 1st year of marriage would only include living with my husband maybe 5 of 12 months. But I need to keep it in perspective, he's not deployed just simply living 11 hours away from me.
But thank you all so much for your understanding and support. Its crazy that I'm talking about this on a blog, Mr. Jetplane would kill me. He already thinks I'm a little weird when I mention things I've learned through other mil wives. I talk about you guys like I know you, and in some ways I feel like I do. My heart goes out to all of you whose husbands have recently left for deployment. You are a strong group of women, and I admire each and every one of you. I hope to be as strong when Mr. Jetplane gets deployed...

It's not a typical "first year" of marriage huh? I know, Mr. Marine deployed 9 months after we got married (and until we were married, we NEVER lived in the same state!) So it was a big adjustment :)

But he came home a little different than he left...not in a bad way but in a "now I know what's important to me, and it isn't reliving my fraternity days at the University of Georgia" way. That made us want to wait even longer till we try for babies! We are enjoying it being just the 2 of us since that time is so precious when you know they can get that deployment notice at any time.

That being said...I am addicted to perusing the baby section at Nordstrom! It's like "mini-me" dresses!

That Dr. Seuss stuff is adorable. I was in PBK not that long ago, and I swear I was almost willing to buy it and store it "just in case."

I love the Dr. Suess idea for a little boy but what about a little girl. What would you do then? I don't think its a bad thing to plan ahead and buy nursery furniture. Then you have it ready to go and can concentrate on decorating when the time actually comes. :)

All of the walls is cool, but a little too much to actually have in your house. The first picture is really cute!

Lol, you are so cute! I adore that Dr. Seuss bedroom set! Soooo cute for a boy. That must be new because I've definitely never seen it before. Love it!

Before I had Noah, I was like you are now. I'd get googly over little outfits and bedding. We decided to just "do it," and get it going, I think if I waited too long, I'd just never have kids. We were married a little over a year and a half when I got preggers.

I love the Dr. Seuss stuff from PBKids! My sister bought the sheet, quilt, and a very cute pillow to go on her rocker. Kohl's has little Seuss stuffed animals right now and she also found a SWEET little music box with a boy and a flying kite (still seuss).

And if it makes you feel any better, she's not pregnant either-- just trying to be. :)

You will do just fine! Ever since the first baby post, you got me thinking and I have been searching nursery furniture too!!! I LOVE round cribs and was planning on doing a post tonight!!

I totally do this too! I think my husband would go off the deep end since we're not even thinking about kids yet! PB is just too hard to resist. You should check out the adorable baby shower that the Hostess with the Mostess did. It was Thing 1 and Thing 2 for twin boys!

I just loved this post. I completely sympathize with the baby conundrum. I am in a similar one myself. I know I want 'em, just not sure when. But since I want them, I find myself daydreaming about their rooms, clothes, etc. I guess it's just our way to get ourselves mentally prepped.

PS - love both your rooms for girl/boy!
