Jetplanes planning a getaway...

So Mr. Jetplane will be back home around March 17th, yes the end is in sight.

Last night, Mr. Jetplane mentioned that we should go on a vacay. Well, no complaints here. Since he has his bum knee, we're getting rolled back a couple of classes, so we'll get a couple extra months in P'cola. So I'll have him from March until July all to myself.

We're gonna plan a lot to do in those months....

A weekend to Biloxi, New Orleans, and ATL. We also have weddings in ATL and STL. But we want to take a trip for a week somewhere, but not spend too much money. The Jetplanes 1 year anniversary will be on June 7th and my 29th Bday will June 2nd, so the big vacay might be that week.

Any suggestions? The only requirements... it must be warm and there must be plenty of activities for my hubby to keep himself occupied while I read by a pool, lake, and/or ocean.

Also ..... Please don't forget to enter my 300th post giveaway.

We went to Kaua'i for our honeymoon, and it was FABULOUS. We stayed at the Hilton which was great.

I'm dying to go to Turks and Caicos. That place looks AMAZING.

If you're looking for something a little cheaper than the Caribbean, Central America is pretty amazing! I hear Costa Rica is beautiful and there's this island off of Honduras which is supposed to be great with a casino and all.

hmmm.. I just found this place a few days ago. It's all inclusive..you can choose from Cabo San Lucas to Jamaica..among other places

it looks really pretty, but I've never been so I can't say if it's worth it. But I got the site from someone (family friend) who did go and they LOVED it.

hope that helps

Maybe you should take a cruise? NCL gives a wonderful military discount and they sail out of NOLA and biloxi.

My family owns a condo in Perdido Key and I am really trying to get Mark to go there with me sometime soon!

I will definitely let you know if I come down there! I was hoping you were close to it. When is the Mr. supposed to be home? The condo is first floor on the beach with two or three bedrooms. I think 3. It's been a while.

by the way, I am loving dead after dark. I read 150 pages just last night!

We went on a cruise last year for our first anniversary to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. It was a lot of fun and we found lots of things to do on and off the boat. This year we are going to Cabo San Lucas for our second anniversary. We are staying at the Riu Palace there that someone mentioned above. We leave in less than a month so I can tell you all about that when we return. I know you live there so it may not be as relaxing to you but I love our weekend getaways to Pensacola during the summer!

I love St. Martin! Cruises are awesome too and then you get to visit a couple of different destinations. Check out www.perx.com. It says it gives travel discounts to airline employees, but when you register select "military" under "airline affiliation" and they send you tons of awesome deals!

Honey, you and me were meant to be buddies. I'll make sure we come down sometime in the spring after you and hubs have some time to reconnect. Mark and I want to take a vacay but everything is expensive and we're trying to be conservative with our money for once. After this, we'll be at Ft. Benning which is only a few hours from Perdido Key, I think
