Housewives of the OC

Okay, the past 2 weeks, I have been disgusted by you. It's one thing to show underage drinking and its other to show it being completely condoned by a room full of adults.

These girls are 17 and 18 years old. They shouldn't be drinking at a bowling alley, how did they get home from said bowling alley. And don't these kids realize that they are being taped and this is on national television.

So Mrs. Jetplane wasn't an angel, far from it, but I wasn't on national television.

And, Jeanna's kids are out of f-ing control. I was completely shocked and outraged that they talked to her like that. I wouldn't have stood for it. So what if your dad was a horrible husband and you heard him talk that way to your mother. You know it hurt her self esteem and know its not right. I speak from personal experience here, boys.

You know right from wrong, and I hope to God you see yourselves on tv and realize what total a-holes you are.

And Jeanna, take charge of your life and let your kids know that you're their mother and you demand their respect.

Rant over... Happy Hump Day to all.

XOXO

Dane & I were appauled as well. I would never ever let my children talk to me that way.

I was equally appauled by Lynn's behavior to allow her daughter & daughters friends to have drinks and the just laugh about it.Next thing you know Lynn's daughter will be getting knocked up in the basement and Lynn will just laugh it off!Oh kids these days....

I could not agree with you more!! Girls are growing up way too fast these days, and it seems like the mothers just want to be friends to look "cool."

Ugh. But still, I can't help but watch an entire episode whenever it happens to catch my eye. Entertaining stuff if nothing else. ;)

Actually I meant to say: parents these days...

My thoughts exactly! I watched most of the show from beneath my couch cushions, cringing.

All of the kids were appalling, basically, but I couldn't believe Hot Baseball Shane in particular. How could Jeana (Geana?) just sit there and take that?

I couldn't agree more with you!

Yeah I couldn't believe how they were just letting their kids walk around with martinis in their hands! Who does this with neighborhood friends and camera crews hanging around?? It just shows that money can't buy common sense!

And I can NOT get over how ridiculously rude Jeanna's kids were to her!! And she just sits there and smiles!! UGH

That show is like crack! It's hard to change the channel once you've stumbled upon it, but you really don't want to be subjected to their insane lives anymore.

This whole season they have all been making me mad!!
It's like they never left high school with the way they talk about each other behind their backs.
I too hope that Jeana's kids see themselves on TV and make a change. I was really surprised that Shane actually had a girlfriend considering what a jerk he appears to be!

Last night was the first time I watched this show, and I was so shocked by the both sets of kids and their behavior. I can't really compare it to my parents because basically alcohol wasn't in the house and we knew what was expected of us. I didn't drink until I was 21. (I had a taste when I was 20 at a wedding). Anyway, I agree with you!

I could not believe those kids last night. Who lets their kids drink on national television? And who lets their kids treat them that way ever? I was so mad at those boys last night. I couldn't believe how mean they were.

HAHAHA! Isn't it terrible what kids are up to these days?!? And they don't even CARE that everyone sees it on TV!

I agree 100%! Brian and I got into an disagreement over this episode. He says they learned it from their father and they don't know better. WTF ever!!! They are adults...treat your mother with some respect. And Jeanna...get a backbone. I love Ellie to death but the second she talks to me like that it will all be over for her. As far as drinking when you are 18 at your parent's party...Lindsey Lohan made it cool. I think the parents should be jailed for this. There is no reason it should be appropriate even if there are television crews there. What about the other teenagers? If I was another parent I would be furious at Lynn!!! Okay ~ I'm off my soap box now. :)

Ditto... you said exactly what I was thinking when I saw all that.
Poor taste and bad behavior on the parents part, definitely.

Seriously! I so agree. It's so rediculous and they are SUCH bad parents... Lynn is too much for sure. I am going to be a bitch mom for sure, not a 'cool' mom ha ha.

I saw these episodes as well and was thinking the same things. I feel like all the parents only care about themselves and have no clue what is going on with their kids. It is sad but for some reason I keep watching! haha

I couldn't have said this better myself. It was downright disgusting to watch the way these children behave and treat their parents. My son would never see son light again if he ever thought to speak to me that way.

I had to quit watching those shows because they people on them made me sick. Their children are worthless, ha!

I caught about three minutes of the show the other day and it happened to be the part where the girls were drinking in the bowling alley bathroom.

Of course stuff like that happens, but for the show to sit by, film it and then air it was in poor taste. A lot of what happens in that show rubs me the wrong way...

Cute blog! Just found yours through "the pink chick" and really have enjoyed reading it. I, too, am a military wife and love it. My hubby is a trauma nurse and is in CRNA school thanks to the military. Congrats on your hubby's wings. When you get a chance stop by my blog and say hello. I love making new bloggin friends. BTW, I 100% agree with your post on the OC Housewives. I lost my mom when I was 22 and those boys will regret the way they treat her, one day. She should cut them off since all they care about is the money they will get from her when she dies.
